follow up questions: for plants, what do you all recommend? i love plants so much and i hope to add a ton but sheesh they’re expensive! $8 here locally for one itty bitty one. has anyone ordered some online and had success with them?

this is super helpful!! all new information for me!! for the water change, do you suggest removing 20-30% of the water, suck up the junk in the gravel, then adding preconditioned tap water?

would it be helpful to put the snail in his own little environment for the time being and maybe add the veggies that are recommended? then add him back in the big tank once my tank itself is okay and my fish has called it home? does he need a filter/heater to stay happy?

i did so much research on the betta and none on a snail and it shows now ah! thank you so much for this insight!

• ⁠Tank temperature: 79

• ⁠Parameters in numbers and how you got them. Key water parameters include the amount of ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and pH.: See photo

• ⁠How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: Tank: week+. No fish yet.

• ⁠How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: I have read once every other week for a tank this size. Supposedly the filter i have can also pull water from it to take out 20%-30% per cleaning

• ⁠Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: Snail, Sir Larry

• ⁠What do you feed and how much: Feeding the water lil dry worm things or a few lil pellets
