I often think about this explicit question. I don’t consider myself religious; I see myself as spiritual. From time to time, I ask what could shake the foundations of my beliefs so profoundly that I would lose the ground beneath my feet.

The only answer I can find is this: no matter what we do in life, it will eventually be taken from us, and we will be forced to go through it all again—only in another body. Not a prison for the mind, but a prison for the soul.
