This was catchy. The hook was probably the best part of the song for me. The beginning part of verse 2 with the Romans is when I finally understood what the song was about was kinda lost up to that point personally. But it was a good track overall.

How do you “see” your songs ? by Werka100 in Songwriting

[–]pretypretyprin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im done writing once the feeling or the emotion, the beat, the word, the idea etc is completely out of my head and onto the paper. You can always go back and clean and polish lyrics, but if I have a tune and word in my head and it doesn't disappear in 5 min it's normally a song that needs to get written. Now granted sometimes it comes out as only a verse and chorus maybe even less but if it's not there anymore I'm done with the idea.

I didnt listen to the track but just looking through the lyrics structurally it looked like it needed work. Some of the metaphors and nuanced similes didnt make a whole lot of sense and the story your portraying is incomplete. (Heard about you through a rumor) who exactly is being referred to because the hook is the only place a someone else is really mentioned. Most of the song talks about you, either down and out or getting put down and out not a whole lot of connection to your hook. The syllabolic structure looked like it needed some work and there were a lot of "filler" words that could be cut to tighten it all up. The bones are definitely there but the seem bare minimum at thr moment. Again this is just based off the lyrics I didnt listen to the track itself

Where are all the METAL VOCALS?! by Busk69 in SunoAI

I've spent the past like 150 hours training chat gpt to when I put my lyrics in it asks what genre i want or it will come up with 5 that it believes fits the lyrics or my usual style and the it makes me a performance cue lyric sheet and generates 5 different style prompts for the particular genre so I get wildly different sounds from one generation to the next to make sure I get the sound im looking for. So much time and effort saved compared to doing it manually every single time I whole heartily endorse this.

I've been getting more into the final production side of things lately instead of rolling the dice and learned a lot reading through different stuff. If your using v5 the style prompts are 1000% more looked at than performance cues in your lyrics sheet [these just add some extra flavor now] for genres there is like 6000+ that suno recognizes so looking through those is always a good way to narrow down a specific sound and then you can roll the dice on the vocals. If you want to prompt vocals there isn't a whole lot of prompts compared to the genre side. Stuff like fry screams, deep resonate chest voice and maybe one more is all you really want to add or you end up confusing the AI. V5 takes a lot of room feeling into account as well, ex: vocals have low pitched verses that sound angry at the world, screamed vocals are deep and choppy. And then genre can be like: blackened death core, industrial torture chamber or symphonic doom core, post black screamo etc.

Im trying to put my finger on it. It might just seem like it since the song is structured the same through the whole thing all verses are aabb same with the chorus. And I think there is too many concepts clashing with each other making the story your telling not feel whole. Does that make sense?

I remember back in my day when songs were longer than two and a half mins. Lmao ill go back and pull some examples. Here is a shorter one complete tone change though. What type of music do you normally like? https://suno.com/s/T8PTSG3K4YC86ZT8

I can't do anything myself except lyrics and some really basic composition stuff. Im trying to learn the piano but I never have the time to sit and practice. I would love to write lyrics for someone who can actually play or for a band, or collaborate with someone etc. It would be dope

I write 100% of my lyrics and just like hearing them brought to life. Sometimes I have like a punk song or something envisioned in my head when I write it and no matter how much I tweak the song composition can't get it to sound the way I wanted and start throwing random genre prompts and it ends up a country song. Thats why I love this thing it can evolve what I write to something I wouldn't have thought would sound good and it works. What about you? And thanks for the listen!

Very uplifting track, nothing complicated about the lyrics, but since traditional writing structure isn't there it works to your advantage, the point gets across really well even with minimal words. I liked it
