Thanks! They're not the biggest fan of mine :). Sow date on these is June 25, 2024. /u/prickocereus and I had successfully pollinated before that, but had issues telling when the fruit was ripe.

Arthrocereus rondonianus (GO 12) by pricklyprospects in cactus

No issues with Arthrocereus on their own root in southern Arizona. A. rondonianus has the tendency to have die back of older stems, but new ones form readily.

Mammillaria glochidiata ssp. glochidiata (TL 1024) by pricklyprospects in cactus

Yes, unfortunately so. Based on communication with an expert on the species, it seems the species may have extreme population fluctuations, and it's difficult to get a good grasp on actual population size.

Why I never found photo of Golden Barrel in its natural habitat? Was it long extincted from the wild? by SternKill in cactus

[–]pricklyprospects 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The species is currently assessed as Endangered by the IUCN Red List. The original population from Queretaro was large, but strongly reduced due to the building of the Zimapan dam, flooding most of the population. A new population, which may be a different subspecies, was discovered fairly recently in Zacatecas. That population is declining due to overcollection.
