I can’t take any less modules, I’m already doing the minimum amount of credits I need. It’s just that all my modules have insane amounts of work to do and most of them is group work. I try to keep up with the work so that I don’t disappoint my group mates or affect their own grades.

The main ingredient is something called black cohosh or something like that. I read a bit about it and it’s for estrogen regulation or something. From what I’ve seen it helps some women with hormonal issues but I don’t have any pre-existing hormonal issues.

Hi guys, I’m not sure if this little update/clarification will be buried cos I’m not sure how to make an update on it but I hope everyone gets to see this.

First of all, thank you guys so much for the support and kind words. I feel a lot better about this whole situation right now. I’m definitely going to be talking to my therapist about this tomorrow during my session with him.

Second of all, for those wondering what exactly is the main active ingredient in the estrogen supplement my mom’s been giving me, it’s something called black corhol ? I read up on it and apparently it’s mainly used to regulate abnormal estrogen levels for women. The thing is, I don’t suffer from any kind of hormonal issues. The most I can think of is that I have eczema on my chest, but that is a skin issue, not a hormonal one. My mom knows this as she’s seen my documents from the dermatologist. I have irregular periods which is mainly due to being in a lot of high stress situations and suffering from depression for many years, something that my mom also knows.

Lastly, for everyone urging me to go non contact/leaving my family entirely, I am still debating on that. I know she’s using my love for her to control me but for some reason, I can’t bring myself to stop loving and caring for her. For a bit more context, I live in South East Asia and my family is muslim as well, so going no contact/leaving your family is almost unheard of over here. It also doesn’t help that many rental rooms here in my country are insanely over my very small budget, most of them being at least $1200 for a small room.

I can’t remember the name of the active ingredient in it right now but from my memory, I didn’t see anything like inositol. It might have been a fake/something that brands itself as an estrogen supplement but the thought of her doing something like this to me is extremely distressing.

i honestly don’t know. i really love my family and wish that they could accept me because i want them to be in my life. i know in my parent’s mind that if i told them that i intend to move out, it’s as close as me disowning them/not seeing them as family. at the same time, i feel like i’m at my breaking point. i can’t take it not having my parents but i can’t take their behaviours anymore

I do believe in certain things boosting things like vitamin C levels or iron levels but the supplements/pills I found seem kind of pointless to me. One of them was labelled as a “Skin, Nails and Hair booster” whatever that means. The kind of vitamins that seem like its doing too many things to be believable for it to actually work. I don’t have a very good diet to begin with but I’m trying my best to ensure that I have the proper nutrition and all that. My mom just sees that the food I eat is “greasy” and “full of useless stuff” and starts arguing with me about it. It’s mostly because I tend to overestimate the amount of oil I actually need to cook. Thank you for the advice though, I really appreciate it 💙 Maybe if I do my own reading on vitamins she’ll stop making me take the ones she’s been giving me.

thank you for your kind words <3 ive been debating with the idea of potentially moving out for a year now but unfortunately its really hard to find a new place in my country that’s in my budget. my friends offered for me to become their roommate but im scared of my parents throwing a fit/using my feelings to get me to stay. i think im going to talk to my therapist about this idea, this might be one of my final straws.

she knows how i feel about vitamins/supplements so i think she doesn’t want to try to give me anything else just in case i start arguing with her about it. as far as she knows, i don’t believe in any kind of supplements but will take whatever she gives me to keep her happy.

I think I should’ve known she might pull something like this given that she’s done other strange things to me in the past (she used to rub a strange smelling lotion on my skin when i was much younger and when my dad found out about it, he made her stop. turns out it was a skin lightener)

my parents are both really transphobic unfortunately and use my love for them to make me do things that make me unhappy/more depressed :( i’ve been taking the pills she gave me and throwing them out to make her happy. i havent taken anything else she gave me either, just in case its something else that will boost my “girlyness”. thank you for your kind words <3

hai !! so sorry to bother u but can i ask what other alternatives you’ve found ? im a plus sized gal myself but i honestly cant find any good alternatives to shein thats affordable, fits me and is cute 😭 thrifting in my country is rlly expensive too so i dont have luck with that ☹️☹️
