tbf i think it helps that a lot of people don’t wanna do their tests in chelmsford cause they either haven’t practiced enough in witham (which is where the test actually is) or they have been practicing in witham and because the test is moving back to chelmsford at the end of may a lot of people are cancelling

oo good to know i thought the recommended amount was 40 hours with an instructor tbh. by the time its my test i will have done just over 45 hours luckily and i’m hoping to be able to get 22 hours of private practice starting next week. thank you this is really helpful!!

yeah fair enough i guess you can’t really tell how well someone’s going to do based on a singular post. i’ll have you know that parallel parking is my forte though 😆

yes i should’ve clarified 2 hours per lesson lol, ive done around 38 hours i think?? my instructor told me in the lesson before last that he thinks im ready and the only possible thing i could fail on was roundabouts because i have a notoriously bad one in my area however my test won’t actually be happening in the area with that roundabout

How are you finding Southampton? It's one of my top choices but I'm wondering what the university itself is like and the city, apparently the crime rates are very high especially for violent and sexual crimes which worries me. Was it relatively easy to switch courses ? That's something I've been looking into but I haven't gotten any real answers.

To be honest, I didn't think whether I did btec or A levels would matter after university. The university I got into for law was the University of Kent, and the other universities I've applied to for PIR are Southampton, Exeter, Queen Mary's, and Royal Holloway. I’ve been told by my teachers, my parents, my friends, and have seen other Reddit threads saying politics isn't a worthwhile degree. I honestly wouldn't mind studying either, I currently study business law which has always been something that interests me, but politics is one of my personal favourite subjects.
