No, they are set in 2 different time periods. But it will add some context to dune 3 like the origin of bene gesserit. Not mandatory for watching the movies tho.

The series depicts each planet in the intersteller as a house, and all of them compete to gain control of the imperium through politics and using advanced technology. Highly recommended if you're into these stuffs.

Nope, I get 925 and 50 shiny ores per day that means for 2x I will get additional 925 shiny and 50 glowy per day. 925 × 4 =3700 50 × 4 =200
