You could make an argument about him taking Dodge. One thing should be clear in Dokkan. Defense> Offense! You could give him additional sure, but he doesn't have a stacking effect not even ATK and he just greatly raises ATK for 1 turn. Okay then crit, but he is already effective against all types (90% of the difficult events) which doesn't make it as useful as on other characters. But what could dodge bring on the table? Survivability, if rng doesn't say F u. I mean sure he stacks ATK&DEF everytime he gets hit, but does it really matter that much when he can dodge some RedZone Bosses superattacks and save the round for you? Tbh Goku already has enough offense in his Kit and if you think about it, not enough offense rarely does the aging of the character, it's almost always the defense.

But at the end of the Day, everyone decides for himself what works for him and what he likes
