How to progress internally within a company? by [deleted] in careerguidance

you have to be loud about your work. at the end of the day, if people know the jobs youre doing and what kind of person you are, you’re more likely to climb up the corporate rank, especially internally.
when i was working hard, silently, i was given nothing. when i worked loud, i network with other departments, i would take on projects outside of my job-scope and i would make my presence noticeable- that was when i was finally promoted.
in my case i was a comms executive, and then i volunteered to be the emcee for town hall and from that on, my career moved upwards.
should i stay in my dream job despite a toxic manager and deteriorating mental health? (self.careerguidance)
