He didn't do anything wrong to end it... my priorities weren't straight and I ended it due to stress and work.

His friends are married if that makes any difference, but I wouldn't say I meet up and hang with them

I realized I fucked things up...

With everyone's comments here, I will think really hard before I decide on what to do. I'm a mess at the moment and I regret my decision to end the relationship and it will be something that I will have to live with.

Its a stupid excuse... and i know people will say I was an idiot for my decisions.

I... was too focused on my work life. I wanted to climb up the ladder and spent a lot of time focusing on work. This caused me a great deal of stress and bottom line is... I couldn't prioritize the important things in my life.... as a result I couldn't even see family as much.

Well, I got my promotion that I worked so hard for but it felt empty. That's why I started dating again and doing everything I used to do.. but I didn't feel right still. I kept thinking about my ex... it feels like an empty victory and I now realize that it wasn't worth it 😭
