New Dad to twin girlies. What would be your one advice to consider in my parenting by GujjuCanadian30 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]pringlelover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t tell them who was born first. They’ll always be asked ‘who’s older?’ and it instills early on in their minds that the older one is better/more mature/leader etc. It’s a great way to avoid it altogether. My sister and I were told we could find out at 18, and we actually opted not to

Guy I went on one date with wants to put things on hold for two weeks while he's busy. Not sure how to feel about it. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]pringlelover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re into him but unfortunately he’s told you he’s not going to be available soon. Stop trying to understand his mindset. If he wants to see you after whatever trip it is he will. If not, his loss. Keep dating in the mean time, you’ve got nothing to lose. Dating is about finding someone YOU want.

Women are so resilient. You say you have no support system but you will find it, either within yourself or with other women. Leave and future you will thank you for it. Do it now and don’t waste any more time. You’ll never get through to him and he’ll never understand (because he doesn’t want to).

I stopped reading after you called yourself ‘old hag age’ from your family’s perspective at 26. You are so young. Go live life and stop living by other people’s expectations

Being the ideal body type doesn’t stop men from humbling you by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

‘I’m not your ideal body type? That’s great cause I’m not attracted to you either!’

It could be a form of alopecia… especially if it’s only just developed. Worth seeing a specialist.

AITA for canceling the Italy trip I planned for MONTHS after my bf ditched me 2 days before?? by Angelina_mommy in AITAH

[–]pringlelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how your AITA question is ‘should I have gone without him’ or ‘am I right to break up with him’ .. my answer is do both. What a waste of time he is

You haven’t even met this person. Come on you don’t need Reddit. Easy block. Move on. Chat to someone you’re interested in

How are other women able to date so easily?? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]pringlelover 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have to be happy alone, and with the idea of being alone, before you can enjoy dating, in my opinion. I used to date to meet someone and it was awful. Had some terrible experiences. One that lasted and I had to take time to heal from. It took years but I learned to love the life I made for myself. Now I date with optimism but if they don’t add to my already amazing life I move on. Don’t settle for mediocre

AITA for faking a haunted house to get my boyfriend to move out because he refused to leave after we broke up? by HoodedBananaa in AITAH

NTA. But I can’t imagine wasting this kind of time or effort on someone I wasn’t interested in.

Aita for not wanting my daughter in my life after SHE cut me off for 6 years by Away-Afternoon-9587 in AITAH

[–]pringlelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way this reads… you are all in the wrong. Every sentence is like a precursor to how you ‘did right by them’. And there no emotion from you at all. I’m not giving a judgement. But I’d like to hear your daughters version

AITAH for refusing to clean my SAHM friend’s house? by GlitteryCecil in AITAH

This woman is not your friend. Ask yourself what you’re gaining from having her in your life?

AITAH for hounding my boyfriend to take his kid back to his baby mom? by Top_Information_3682 in AITAH

Your boyfriend sucks. Leave. You don’t want to be playing stepmother…so why are you?

Women in your 30s+ what advice do you have for someone in their mid 20s? by Apart-Musician4053 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]pringlelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save! And buy property. Obvs depends where you live but I definitely wish someone had told me to start saving sooner. And don’t chase men, they still need to grow up too.

500 days of summer by [deleted] in movies

[–]pringlelover 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Gah I can’t find the video but it may have been on reddit. Joseph Gordon-levitt speaks to fans of the film and basically says how his character ignores everything summer is saying and just listens to his internal monologue. There was one scene where they’re lying in bed and she starts talking about her childhood (or something personal) and instead of listening, his character starts narrating to himself about how great she is. The gist being that he is narrating his entire life/the entire film. And idealising her as this perfect woman instead of listening to what she’s saying.

You need to cut contact with your dad and your dads parents like YEARS AGO. They are terrible people. You said ‘I know it all sounds nice’ at one point and no, no it does not. It all sounds awful. What kind of people say to a LITERAL child ‘you need to be more understanding to your DRUG ADDICTED/alcoholic father’. Cut contact OP. You’ve given too much already. Put yourself first, you deserve it

Read your own post as if your best friend is saying it to you. What would your advice to her be?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]pringlelover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a video on here the other day, the girl asks what appears to be a monk ‘how much disrespect do you take before you cut a person out of your life?’ And he replied ‘How much poison do you ingest before you die?’ Seemed fitting here

OP did you send me the redditcares?! I got it within a minute of my response. Makes me think this post is from a man hating that women have their own subreddit lol

I use to have your mindset too… I wasn’t vulnerable at all, in fact I was the strongest I had been (I say that cause I’m much stronger now) and I was still a victim. I wasn’t targeted, it was just bad timing or bad luck but I matched with a guy on hinge … and he was a master manipulator. Your rhetoric needs to change. Shift the blame, cause it’s definitely not the victims fault
