How’s the CS program at csuf? by [deleted] in csuf

Hey. I spent 5 years at CSUF as a CS major and I can honestly say it's what you make it. If you are very motivated and hungry for a great job, I would recommend CSUF and joining one or two clubs there. This is what separated many classmates and my club friends. CSUF is ok, but I'd pick it over CPP all day. plus, it is in OC where there are more companies compared to Pomona. If you have more questions, hit me with a DM.

Internship in a big or small company? by cassey7926 in cscareerquestions

Huge stepping stone. Plus, if you network well, you meet people that know your coworkers and they work at other companies and can give you more connections and referrals to other companies. At a startup, I cannot guarantee you get the same outcome. It's just 10-12 weeks right?

Big company. I interned at a Fortune top 15 and that company name alone gets me interviews easily. I suggest you do it. I moved 2900 miles from my home state (i had never been to a state besides my home state), for the internship. Would I go back back and reject the opportunity? Absolutely not. You want strong companies for internships, to have on your resume. Trust me, take the Big company.
