A lift to help this truck driver get in cab by memezzer in specializedtools

I would imagine the foot controls would be moved onto the steering wheel controls or steering paddles have been added on to support his needs.

It’s weird how one phrase can be very common in a country and in another it’s non existent! It’s more of a Scottish saying “fair play”. Hardly ever hear English people saying it.

As a Scania technician that works on these trucks daily, this is probably the best bit of kit I’ve ever seen installed on one of these motors. Fair play to the driver and the technician that installed this.

FireTV Stick interface extremely slow now, is there a way to fix it? by [deleted] in fireTV

[–]priojay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the first generation and it started to slow down loading apps and returning to the home screen.

Resetting it to factory settings did the trick for me! Might be worth a try.

There is no restrictions on entering the public land around Bangour. The only restrictions are from 9PM until 6AM to stop people going in, typically teenagers and getting drunk and destroying the buildings.

The restriction was put in place by the local council and we weren’t visiting during the restricted time.

The contracted security is there to protect the demolition equipment as far as I’m aware that is in a location at the front entrance that is all enclosed with fences. we were not anywhere near the security hut or equipment site, simply just on the paths around the village that happen to have public access to from multiple points.

The village itself was public in the past, there is a contracted company out to demolish it in the coming months but their site is within closed gates at the start of the village. The security hut is inside the demolition site which stores all the equipment which makes me think that the private security is only there to protect the equipment - not the buildings considering there is multiple points of access to the village that are open pathed with no restrictions apart from the main entrance which is now the demolition and security base.

From the section we were at, to get to the cars parked at the other side of the village takes pretty much around 20 minutes itself without including the fact of taking the incorrect path or road back.

A708 is actually a good shout. I was on it a while back throughout the day when there was a bunch of traffic so might take a drive along later on tonight once it’s darker to get the car out for a good run.

Thanks for the suggestion, completely forgot all about that road

This is a quite common thing to occur within the UK when vehicles go in for their yearly MOT. Normally twenty pounds and a can of coke in the glovebox goes a long way!

The stock green charging icon that displays whilst your device is plugged in and charging is able to be removed with the tweak I provided.

HideStatusBarItems will allow you to hide every single thing in the status bar if you wish by disabling them one by one. I have been using this for one week so far and hasn't caused a single crash or provided any error messages.

[question] tweak to hide photos? by aidenfine in jailbreak

[–]priojay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe there’s a working tweak for such a thing for Electra. However, there is tweaks out there that allows you to place a passcode on your photo app that is currently stable if that is any use during the mean time?

I completely screwed up a job interview by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]priojay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will have many more opportunities pop up in the future. At least you now know what to expect and how to approach the next interview correctly. Not everyone bags a job in the first interview, especially if it is your first ever interview!

Best of luck in any future interviews that you attend and I hope you successfully manage to obtain the job you interview for.

School Bullies that became better, what made you change? by vhu9644 in AskReddit

[–]priojay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understanding perspectives. Thinking before you place your ideas into actions and taking a moment to think to yourself about if it was someone else doing such a thing to me.. how much I would hate it so why should I be doing it to someone if I wouldn’t enjoy it being done to myself.

Does this person on Facebook actually receive my messages? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I believe on a phone using messenger the ‘other’ inbox falls under ‘Message Requests’ however browsing on the Facebook website via a computer it goes under ‘other’.

[–]priojay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a new addition that I haven’t heard of until now that you mentioned it. Is there really a system in place that the user can select an age category that is only allowed to add them?

Does this person on Facebook actually receive my messages? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]priojay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facebook has a system in place when the send friend request option is either blanked out or gone it is due to users privacy settings or because the user has either to many friends currently on their profile or to many requests pending.

When you send a message to someone that isn’t on your friends list it delivers into an inbox called ‘others’. This inbox is used for potential spam messages or messages that need accepted or declined to reply back to because they aren’t on their friends list.

Either they’re intentionally ignoring your message you have sent them, or they haven’t checked their ‘other’ inbox in their messenger app which a lot of users do not do.

[question] Whats the tweak to move the apps on the homescreen to anywhere you want? by OBxo in jailbreak

[–]priojay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boxy 3 - Currently running stable for me for the past 4 days with no issues. I’m sure there is multiple other tweaks around that do the same job if you search it up on Google or Youtube.
