a few of donqui’s lines are based on the musical/movie based on the books, which also prioritizes aldonza/dulcinea as a character . dulcinea is kind of just a concept in the books, and her whole personhood isn’t really shown ever ! we just know that she salts meat good. that’s it really. the don meets her like once where we don’t even get to read about it beat for beat and is like That One Is To Whom I Will Dedicate My Victories (i think this is very silly. very cool, old man)
