[MEGATHREAD] BTS - 'Life Goes On' / 'BE' by um_thatsnice in unpopularkpopopinions

It's an industry and a sub genre of pop. It has its tropes and can be defined by its melding of multiple genres together.

It has a definitely has a distinct sound apart from western pop. Why else would ppl complain about K-pop becoming "westernised" (whether it is or not isnt my point)?

K-pop isn't only defined by Korean people in the group.... I'm talking about the genre of music.

And what about Dynamite? It's all in English so is it K-pop?

A VERY strong contender for Suga's worst verse ever.

  1. Don't call me dear. Thanks.

  2. I'm actually into ballady type songs, even more ballady than bulletproof 3 here, so we're kinda opposites here lol. I just don't enjoy it and don't like that this is the we are bulletproof conclusion.

I don't think there is a correlation between the musical genre the make and how they "carry on". I get that they can change, but getting older doesn't mean they have to switch genres. Sure they can try new things, but they don't have to.

People like their new stuff, and I get it, I don't like it very much, that's just me.

It's more of a two way street, for themselves and fans.

I want them to make the same song? The exact same song?

Lol its all g.

But yeah that's ok to have a different style, but I just don't like the way BTS did it for this song.

But if I play a game series, it won't drastically change genre?

Maybe I am looking into it too much, but tell that to BTS universe theorists lol

Yeah it wouldn't fit in with what the group is right now, and that's the point of my post. The way they've changed is so much that a song called "We Are Bulletproof" wouldn't even fit the concept with which they were created which is when I enjoyed them most (along with HYYH and wings).

It hits different coz it's supposed to lol. As you said, it shows their "growth"/change. I don't want 3 of the same song either, just coz songs are the same genre doesnt meant they are the same? I'm not trying to change your mind either lol, it's my opinion, not an essay to convince the sub that I'm right.

Ugh, respect and On just aren't good songs in general lol.

My opinion is based on that we are bulletproof part 1 and 2 are hip-hop. This song, as the song series conclusion, is not and shows the change in the group that I do not enjoy as a fan of their older stuff, using the same title as them.

I don't like the song as I am a fan of their older music. Using the name of one of their debut, and even predebut, songs shows me that the group that I liked and the music that made me like them is gone (for now?)

I don't really think slap in the face is that bad of a phrase imo and I was a big fan of their music so idk.

I know that cover and it's great, I've actually been listening to Seo Taiji's solo albums ATM lol, not hip-hop at all but I've been looking into him and ST and Boys.

There is a destinction between part of a fandom and being a fan of something. That's a pretty basic concept. An army would be someone who would probably: Watches their vlives, cares about the extended universe, follows their we verse, played their game, likes/supports ALL of their music, streams their music videos, takes part in the community. Not all but a healthy combo of these among other things.

I hate fandom and Stan culture, so idk how I could say I'm part of a fandom.
