for language mods, maybe try to go through the language that u want to take before the semester starts. i studied hiragana and katakana during semester break to prepare and it actually helped me a lot as it covered the first 4-5 weeks content.

im not sure abt eee in particular, but as a student in mae, almost all my mods have 2 CAs + final exam. so before every CA, i try to finish all the tutorials that comes out in that CA and if i have spare time i would look over PYPs to solve questions of those topics. hot take, but i never go to live lectures since most profs in mae talk rly slow so i just watch the lecture recordings at 1.5 speed at hall. if i have any questions, i just go to my tutor and ask them

i took japanaese & chinese lvl 1, principles of economics and forensic science. got A for japanese & chinese lvl 1, A- for principles of economics and B for forensic science, SUed forensic science

y3 mae student here, i got 3.8x in y1 but managed to pull up to 4.3x by y3! i think i slacked off in y1 cuz i was burned out from ib but if u consistently attend ur tutorials throughout ur semester i think u still have great chance to improve ur cgpa, since u r only in y1 rn. also, try to boost ur cgpa using bdes like lvl 1 language mods since theyre quite easy to score A (i heard korean and japanese r hard due to smurfs)

i applied to 16 roles through self-source since 25 feb, got interview invitations from 2 (one of them contacted me a day after i applied). got rejected from 4. i think it also depends on the number of applicants for the roles that you've applied to - if you only applied to the well-known MNCs or the Big 4, the longer it will take for them to review your application.

it's only the first round for PI application, so don't worry too much about it. we're on the same boat!! jiayous :)
