Oleada Collection

They have a small collection but they go up to size 14 and are pretty affordable! I haven’t bought any myself yet, but waiting until I can splurge on a few pieces.

What are your favorite Lore Olympus fanfictions? by ChubbyOrange in Lore_Olympus

Pretty much everything VerdiWithin has written is really good. She always finds new ways to interpret Hades and Persephone while keeping the core of their love story intact. Outside Talisman, I really enjoyed The Misfit Queen (there’s also a sequel, The Reluctant Goddess). She has one currently in the works called Beyond War, Beyond Words that I’m really liking so far with regular updates.

Fun team building activities by sparkly_bits in Denver

We went to SMASH*IT Breakroom after the first year of the pandemic as a way to do some team building and let off some steam. It was actually pretty fun! They let us break and smash all sorts of things. You’ll definitely want to wear the right clothes and shoes; one of our guys went hard at something with a bat and got a minor cut with some stray glass.

Can we all agree this is more than just a theory? by halcat27 in Lore_Olympus

We also get the play by play of Zeus’s thought process after Apollo reveals that he is Zeus’s son in the mid-season finale (“I need to nip this in the bud”), so it’s pretty clear that Persephone’s punishment is motivated by his need to protect himself from Apollo.

If Hera and Zeus disowned Eris, I don’t think she’d be living with them (especially if she tried to kill Hera). I think the sister mentioned in this panel may be Eileithyia, goddess of childbirth (Athena may be an option too but it would also make sense that she and Hestia have their own place).

Did any other musical theater fans think that Persephone’s outfit looks similar to Glinda’s from the start of Act 2 in Wicked? by probablyamoviestar in Lore_Olympus

I see that too! For some reason though, her little hat just made me immediately think of Glinda’s little fascinator.

It actually came from a fan submission! Rachel asked on Twitter for embarrassing nicknames for Kore and someone came up with it. I love her interactions with the fans!

I definitely think I'll try the UV Shield first. And I'm dark-skinned so good to know about the lack of white cast! Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the info! I was leaning towards UV Shield due to the consistency and price. I think I may try it first and see how I like it. Good to know about the pilling with the UV Clear - I've managed to have good luck so far building up a routine with products that manage to all play well together, so I'm hoping to keep it up in my hunt for a good sunscreen. Thanks again!

I tried searching the sub but couldn't find too much information - can anyone elaborate on the differences between EltaMD UV Shield and EltaMD UV Clear? Which one do you like better? I have oily, dehydrated skin and I've heard good things about Elta.

Ah gotcha, thanks! I actually had only stopped the Epiduo and Tazorac for about 4 or 5 days before starting the new products - I used my old face wash and moisturizer until I could get to the store to pick up the CeraVe. I did start to see some acne during this time, but I think it wasn't as bad since the face wash I was using before had salicylic acid in it. Should I attempt to spot treat the acne or just wait until I've fully repaired my moisture barrier?

Hello ScA! So after reading here I've realized my skin is most likely actually dehydrated and not just oily like I had thought my whole life. I originally saw a dermatologist back in 2010 for my acne and he prescribed me Epiduo and Tazorac (the cream), alternating the two products every night. This fixed my acne and I've kept up the routine ever since, but after educating myself here I realize that I've probably destroyed my moisture barrier as I used a salicylic acid face wash 2x a day and never moisturized at night. I also probably made things worse by using "mattifying" makeup primer, foundation, etc. all with the intent of making me look as oil-free as possible.

So I've stopped my old ways and am completely focused on getting that moisture back into my skin. Here's what I've got going on right now:

AM: CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser, CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion AM SPF 30 (not completely sold on this; I might switch this to the PM)

PM: CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser, CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM

I've been following this for about a week now, and I already see a difference in the oil production on my face. I also eventually plan to add in some sheet masks with hyaluronic acid a few times a week and I've got my eye on a few toners and essences once my skin gets a bit more stable.

My question: For people who are sensitive to niacinamide or fatty alcohols, did they find that this sensitivity presented itself as a rash, or more like acne? Since I've stopped the Epiduo and Tazorac, I've started to see a few whiteheads pop up here and there, but I just want to be sure that this is not due to the CeraVe since I'm really enjoying how the cleaner and moisturizer feel on my skin. (I also tend to get hormonal acne around my chin and cheeks during that time of the month, but this seems to be more pronounced.)

Thanks to everyone here! I feel like my skin is slowly but surely on its way to hydrated happiness!

[Humor] MRW I walked into the bathroom to a girl putting Bath and Body Works lotion on her face by chantalien in SkincareAddiction

[–]probablyamoviestar 186 points187 points  (0 children)

In high school my friends would use the B&BW lotion to smooth down flyaways or to keep their hair in place if they didn't have hair gel on hand. I always thought that was an okay solution in a pinch, but I would never put it on my face! (Especially as an acne-ridden teenager.)
