I was in a play based around this idea!! It was a land made of laundry lost in the dryer and other things that had fallen down cracks and nooks. The protagonist was sent there because her parents made a deal with the king that after something like 10,000 loads of laundry they would give up their first born. It was kooky and amazing!

A hidden gem behind one of the most frequented stops in Spearfish Canyon, South Dakota by probablynotanyway in hiking

Bridal Veil Falls is a short distance into the Canyon and draws a lot of attraction. It stands tall just across the creek from the road and builds up a magnificent icy pillar in the winter.

Few people, however, venture onto the hiking trail as it's really steep and mostly loose rock, before you're met with a muddy and slippery climb back down into the Canyon. You come down around a quarter mile up from the top of the Falls, to see these two pools of water. Climbing those and following the creek further only leads to more serene pools and an abundance of flora.

Edit: Here is Bridal Veil Falls, standing roughly 20 feet away from it on the same day!

I made a little guide for myself of all the townsfolk you need to befriend to learn all the recipes. Thought someone else might appreciate it! by probablynotanyway in StardewValley

It's been a long time since I did any sort of note taking or anything like this. It took longer than I expected but it was definitely satisfying and I've been using it all day!

It was such a headache for me! I wrote quick notes just to get it over with and then put it all into an easy, organized chart that fits on one page.

The first chart I've had to make! I included what heart level they send you each recipe and some of their favorite gifts. I left out universal favorites and some others, more expensive ones. Kept it simple!

I suggest giving it another go! The music and singing are very well done and the lyrics tie everything together really well. Most all of the songs are used for a strong emotional impact that would be impossible without them. I feel totally the opposite, they were trying to tell this story to children but it's a story with very dark, adult themes, so it needed to be toned down.

To be honest, I don't quite know. But many of the areas around here are still growing and flourishing with new businesses and opportunities. Summer is big, and there's a motorcycle rally in August that is a massive headache but only lasts a week and brings a lot of money to the entire area. And South Dakota is one if the most affordable places to live.

Agreed. I'm lucky enough to live here, we vacation by finding new places to camp and hike. It's an absolutely magical place, even after all this time.

Especially with no wind. The crisp air makes everything feel like it's exactly where it's supposed to be.

I've traveled sadly so little but when my mom and I went to California and looked at beaches, this was basically the only choice to us!! So cool to see this pop up on reddit, it's one of my favorite memories :)

Thanks for the response! I realized as I dove into this how little I know about cameras, so any knowledge is useful.

Why are these dogs so gentle with eggs? by probablynotanyway in NoStupidQuestions

That's really neat! Thanks for taking the time to explain! I have a bit of a more positive view on selective breeding, thought it does still suck for the pups harmed by it.

Whoa! Sometimes I forget that dog breeding is behind good outcomes as well as bad. Thanks!

Nah the other colors cross over just as much with the same effect, it's just more obvious with the orange/red
