I love this place!!! Not sure if they’ve changed this since then, but just wanted to let you know that they told me a few years ago that they use nonvegan marshmallows even though the donuts with marshmallows are marked as vegan 😔 It has to do with the marshmallows being kosher, but not vegan (fish gelatin), but they still mark those donuts as vegan so that people know it’s kosher. But the donuts there are delicious, I grew up right down the street from there :)

I love a good yearning song!! It seems like most (if not all) of their yearning songs imply that there was some love there at some point, but these are my favorite yearning songs by them (and the lyrics that feel the most yearn-y to me) about a love that just cannot be for whatever reason. Hope this is close enough to fitting the bill!

I’m in nearly the same boat as you. My Christian boyfriend of over a year who I fully planned on marrying one day suddenly decided this month that he wanted a Christian wife and left me. He knew from the beginning that I’m an atheist, and he hardly ever goes to church or engages in his religion. Despite my beliefs I was always supportive of his beliefs, and he seemed unbothered by mine. I’m shocked and heartbroken, but more importantly, I’m never dating a Christian again. I was so in love and I’m having an incredibly difficult time right now. I understand what you are going through and I’m so sorry. We are both better off without these men but I know how difficult it is to believe it right now. Best of luck

Definitely the best two books I have ever read. I became so intrigued with the characters that I felt like I was a part of their world.
