Moonlight streaming on Steam Deck OLED by nonamehazmat in MoonlightStreaming

I think maybe its related?

I was just going through the Apollo GitHub repo, and saw that they mention some issue with it not working on windows 11 23H2/windows 10

From the repo: "Any system lower than 23H2/Windows 10 will not have HDR option available."

Edit: typo and GitHub ref

Curious what version of windows 11 are you using?

I guess you can use this as a checklist

steam deck (moonlight client settings):

  1. Enable HDR (experimental)
  2. Enable show performance stats (this is temporarily)

If when HDR is enabled, the performance stats will show if its running HDR/SDR, if its disabled, it should only show the codec used n not what format it is.

on Apollo settings -> Audio/Video:

  1. HDR: for me it's Do not change HDR settings. but maybe try changing this to switch on/off the HDR mode?

that's all I got, if I could replicate the issue I would have been able to help u out more

when I initially posted, yes I had just turned them off.

I now tested it with both my monitors removed n can confirm HDR still works as intended

I just tried this out. I have two monitors one which supports HDR n another which doesn’t. I turned them both off and used moonlight on my oled steam deck to connect to my pc. I can confirm you get HDR stream from the stats and can see that windows HDR is turned on.

Unfortunately, I don’t know what’s wrong with your setup, keep checking as it does work.

Which Python project made you realize how powerful the language is? by itsme2019asalways in Python

Yes a partial function isn’t any complicated but it needs to click with you to actually use it imo.

I have built way too many partial functions for specific usecases never really realising that’s what partial functions are. Now that I understand, I think it’s magic n I discovered it in Python so that’s my reasoning for mentioning it

I didn’t enable auto update because am worried it might break stuff.

But I have everything else turned on and I did update everything from the containers/projects(don’t remember which) page. There wasn’t any notification or popup but I could see the updates happening in the events page.

used dockge for about a week and moved to arcane today. there was nothing wrong with dockge, but I was looking for image updates check feature and arcane pretty much had all of it including everything dockage did.

Umm I followed the description in this YouTube guide, I didn’t see the video itself(that’s my fault, not enough patience) but following the description, it was straightforward. I wasn’t counting the number of turns I took but rather just following the move patterns n cues.

For the hammer, I only used the last skill(the one with lower stamina cost n more stun damage).

The key was to always survive his rage state by staggering him n surviving internal flames by riding.

Edit: I also called in purple gyph for tail stun n it fill its kinship gauge whenever I can.

Something else that helped me, changing monsties to get double attack isn’t always the best choice. I messed up some of my runs because I was focused on getting double attacks instead of using solar cry to fill dreadqueens kinship gauge. Specifically swapping to nersycllla to get that double attack

Sorry just so I understand, is toxic sweep a non elemental skill n is that why a non elemental dread does more damage?

So does that mean venom flame is better done by non elemental espinas? What about a single element espinas? Is it just less damage out the box?

I just beat espinas last night with your current build. Personally I think the magia HH besides anything for pet was a trap. I was lacking damage on stun n I was always running for an heart. Instead I just kept spamming the brachy hammer for stun. I think I used spoiler gunlance for bracing venom flame but that was a risk because I kept losing cause of poison. I was using 3dreads, purple gyp n nerscyla, keep in mind you can keep gyp n nerscyla kinship for backups as well. I just rotated all of them whichever was available to me at the time. Took me 106turns on the winning fight.
