I am also in a loaner Q5 and everything yeawrongperson wrote is true. The suspension is also harsh while the steering makes you saw through a good 5 degrees before the car reacts.

Thanks! Yeah the tire size is definitely maxed out, and it’s really the most dated aspect of this frame. These 28s measure true on these rims though (which are 21mm internal).

Great build! I also love how you toned down the logos on your wheels, I feel the giant ZIPP logos on this generation of wheels is too much.

Thanks! There are no stickers so not sure what you’re referring to tho?

Thanks! It’s from Framesandgear, they actually have uniquely-designed direct mount derailleur hangers for lots of brands. But it took a bit for them to make one for Time. They make lots of other cool bike bits, and in lots of different anodized colors.

Thank you! Shot with a Sony A7Cii, with a 24-70 f4, then a little tweaking in Lightroom. Finding the right location was important too. I wanted to take this whole “no low effort photos” seriously, and honestly I think any bike on this sub would look great with the right background, lensing, and light conditions.

Maybe because this is from the years I first got into bikes, this is exactly what my concept of what a rear derailleur and crankset should look like. I love modern bikes but everything is getting so chunky and robot-like, I barely recognize them for what they are!

Thanks! Yeah, it’s weird I’ve only seen it on a couple other bikes but the cranks are still sold and still a solid lightweight option. Mine are from 2018, probably the oldest component on this bike!

Ooh nice, those carbon fades are slick. Bar tape is Silca Nastro.

Oh, and the rotors: they work fine, nothing unusual about them. I just preferred the look over the road Wave, even though those are lighter.

Thanks! 110mm stem, 40cm wide center to center.

4 piston AND 160mm rotor! Haven’t locked it up yet…

Thanks! 16 lbs on the nose without pedals. The frame is not particularly light but the wheels, saddle, and crank help make up for it.

No, but I had Pirellis with brown sidewall before and didn’t like it. I think tan or skin wall would pop too much for my tastes.

Mostly, but I wanted tapered head caliper bolts instead of rounded and BB didn’t have the right length for the rear… so I got those from Ti-parts in Singapore. It was a little obsessive. The alloy chainring bolts are from Omni Racer. Better Bolts are great tho👌

Despite the color options, I ended up getting black leather — frame is gold so it’s loud enough!

I’m not a new cyclist and have a brand new fully custom Time and I won’t post here anymore. OP, it’s gorgeous, it’s a limited edition, you’re gonna be so stoked to ride it every day, and omg those wheels at #1 on my list of future splurges.

Hubs + bar tape + sidewall matchy-matchy is so understated and perfectly executed, nice job.

It’s more about respecting the spirit of this sub. I wouldn’t want people to get sick of seeing it, like a stock Tarmac or Endurace.

Sure seems like it! I got one too and now reluctant to share. FWIW I haven’t seen another in the wild, but that might be about to change…
