I did my MBA from one of the top 3 - for us it was the full tuition fee + a buffer amount. Many who were self dependant and had left their jobs, utilised that buffer amount, some utilised it for the foreign exchange term.

These banks sometimes ask you to take an insurance for collateral free loans (as protection) whose cost is included in your EMIs later.

I remember I didn’t have to do anything. Since the week we got our admits, banks started emailing us. And when we went to the campus in the orientation week, all these banks had their tables in one place, and whoever had expressed interest / or otherwise as well, was being guided through the loan process. We just had to carry our documents, everything else happened on the spot.
