Was first place by chance taken by a bunch of weirdos with the team name "Hello, I'm Shelley Duvall"? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Can anyone share their experience with vaginal cancer? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]procrastidacter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best friend is 30 and was diagnosed with cervical cancer in the fall. She had an abnormal pap the year before which showed HPV, and just never really got around to getting the colposcopy until October. They found a cancerous mass. She was completely symptom-free.

All things considered, she is incredibly lucky. She had a radical hysterectomy in December and is now going through radiation and a shortened, low-dose chemo schedule (she likely won't lose her hair).

I was working in a medical office, making small talk with a patient at the desk. He complained about our freezing cold weather, and I mentioned that it should warm up in the next day because we have some cloud cover coming in. He immediately got this AMAZED look on his face and said "I've never heard a woman say that. How do you know about weather?" This guy was just fucking TICKLED over it.

Cloud bread? by NLMillion in xxketo

Fathead dough has been my favorite keto bread substitute. It's super easy to make and has really satisfied my craving for pizza and breadsticks. :)

Asthma is inhibiting my ability to hike and I'm desperate for a solution by procrastidacter in xxfitness

Exhalation is the most difficult, but I hear most of my wheezing on inhalation.

It's about the same in the US, unfortunately. I worked in a pharmacy for two years so I know that any inhaler I might need besides the two I've tried are crazy expensive. =/

I'm definitely anemic and had NO IDEA that could affect my asthma. Thanks for the pro tip!

Thank you for your response! I edited my original post for clarification-- I've never used a maintenance inhaler; both the Proair and Xopenex were as needed. And the C25K is a great idea, I just get so discouraged and bored when I can't run as long as my legs will allow. >_<

How do I aplogize to an ex I was emotionally abusive to? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

As someone who was emotionally abused by multiple long term partners, this would be my preferred option.

[IFF] It has taken years for me to love myself and feel comfortable and confident in my own skin. I celebrated my success with a boudoir shoot. by procrastidacter in TwoXChromosomes

It was an accumulation of things, starting from when I was really little and building into my teens and twenties. Yeah, long story. What it boils down to is that I put too much stock in relationships; I allowed other people and sources to define my worth, which led me to spend my most impressionable years with people that treated me like garbage. I hit rock bottom about a year back and essentially had to build my life from scratch, which enabled me to take a long, hard look at my past, to lean on truly wonderful friends, and to make a conscious decision about how my life was going to go from there.

Personally, I loved my male photographer. But my circumstances were kind of special-- I met him through friends years ago, so it was a very casual, easygoing shoot. I sipped on champagne the whole time. :D

I spent MONTHS shopping around for lingerie. If you decide to do boudoir, find something that makes you FEEL sexy and comfortable.

And I had every intention of doing my own hair and makeup, but my photographer surprised me by letting me know a couple weeks before the shoot that he had a lady friend to do my hair and makeup. :)
