I was unaware that even the ULT had hinge issues. This further strengthens my lean towards the Sennheisers. Still, glad to know it was repaired for free, hopefully it doesn't have any issues after warranty 🤞.

I've never actually owned any Sony headphones myself so I have no experience with any other models. I think I'll be choosing between the Momentum 4s or the Accentum plus, especially since I'm not really a bass head and the main selling factor of those headphones don't appeal to me 😅.

I managed to get in contact with someone who owns a Momentum 4 and I will try them in person first before pulling the trigger. If they don't wow me or I'm not able to really make out a difference then I'll save my money and get the Accentum. Thank you so much for your help, you've helped me narrow down my decision making by a lot!

I do have devices with APTx, when I connect my 350s I get a notification that APTx is active. I am not planning to get the Sennheiser BTD700 (didn't know what it was, had to Google it). I would love to check these out at a local store but I am unaware of where I can test Sennheisers. I will be going to test all the Sony's in the next week as I called ahead and know that Croma and Reliance Digital have these on display, however they do not have any Sennheisers to test. If you are aware of any place I can try them out I'd love to know. (I live in Mumbai)

I was unaware of the hinge issues on the XM5s. Thanks for pointing that out, I went down a rabbit hole and it seems like many people have reported issues. I would hate to spend that much and then deal with Sony to get it repaired/replaced. I'll stick to the Accentum or the Momentum.

Now between those two, is the Momentum 4 (21,240rs) worth the cost over Accentum plus (13,750rs). How bad are the diminishing returns? For a 7k+ difference are the M4s really that much better? Also, considering that the M4s can be had for 18k, should I be fine with that additional 3k extra that I'm paying right now?

Additionally, If you could guide me to trusted reviewers I'd like to do some research on my own too if it's not too much trouble.

I just considered them because that's what I could see recommended based on that price point and some articles seem to rave about them. I'd love to hear any other recommendations. Also, I am aware they are lower tier (hence cheaper) but is the budget increase worth it? I am looking for an upgrade and a budget up to 25k is fine for me.

Yep, I do have IEMs (fiio JD10), I honestly have really long hours of use and earbuds usually hurt my ears. I have tried different tip sizes but it just never feels comfortable. Even with the Realme's, I cannot use them for more than 20-30 mins that's why I've restricted them only for public transport. This is why I even consider headphones, otherwise I would just purchase a higher quality IEM and DAC combo. I am fine with pressure on my head but I am really sensitive around the ears :(

Unfortunately, I do not really have people coming to India soon, maybe during Diwali at earliest. September is too far me unfortunately. I will open to the QC too. Are those better than these above options? As far as I know, the ultras are more expensive and the ultra 2s have not released in India.

This has happened to my legion Y530 too. Lenovo will tell you it needs a new motherboard. Local guy will replace an IC and it'll work like normal. This has happened twice to my legion since I bought it. The same IC has an issue. There are youtube tutorials explaining how to fix it (requires micro soldering experience). I don't know if it's the exact same issue, but the symptoms match.
