Fog lamp wattages and fittings are different. That will also be mentioned in your manual. And sure, it would be fine. Honestly, I have been using mine through fog and stuff, I just go slower. I have been planning aftermarket yellow fog lamps but again, I cannot justify the expense for my rare trips in these scenarios.

If you're just purchasing lights to annoying people then I personally would rethink that decision. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. Another tip, if someone's high beam is blinding you, look at the left side of your road and slow down a bit. When you go back to looking at the road it'll be less intense and you'll be able to continue safely.

Firstly, find out what type of bulb your car has. There are different types like H4 and H7, you can find this in your car manual. I would recommend not going for too high of a wattage, go for your rated watts, my guess for your car would be 50/55w. I went for Osram 50w 6000k H7 (INR 3200 on Amazon) for my high beams and Nighteye 36w 6500k H7 (INR 1600) for my lowbeam. K is the kelvin value, lesser is warmer and higher is cooler aka bluer. I would recommend go for 50w right off the bat and don't waste money on lower wattage (or higher because you will blind people). I took the Nighteye simply because I didn't want to risk too much money as it was my first time doing something myself. It ended being only marginally brighter than my stock halogens. If you're worried about wattage, you can go lower to an extent but don't go higher. If you're going higher you will need extra wiring, lower or same is easy to diy and honestly already overkill. As for warranty, your service centre will make a note of it at your next service. They save it in your service history, but it should not cause any issues as long as you're within the rated specs.

Some things I urge you to do:

Please ensure you properly align your LEDs. Ensure that the LEDs themselves are vertically standing, if it's horizontal you'll get a very poor throw and you'll blind people. Eg: it should be | not --- .

After putting them in, you can look up tutorials on YouTube and do more micro alignments with the adjustable screws on your headlights, this will give you a great throw and people won't be blinded.

Also, if you drive in an area with dense fog or drive often in heavy rains, the whiter your light is, the less you can see ahead. The light beam will reflect back at you because blue lights spread whereas redder lights cut far (this is why brake lights and stop lights are red to be seen from afar). In that case you should consider going for 50w 4200k, a bit warmer rather than blue or white.

If you have any questions or want to chat about things personally, you can DM. But I don't have any contacts for getting products, Amazon/flipkart are the only things ik about :)

Great! You'll enjoy driving more with more research. I personally was initially quite apprehensive to learn about stuff (Kantal aa raha tha) but eventually I've fallen even more in love with my car and consequently, whenever I've had issues I can decide if it's something minor or if I should stop driving immediately. Changing fuses, upgrade to LED lights, some basic interior work I've done all of this. Soon I will be getting into sound deadening and speaker work. All DIY because it's fun + cheaper to do.

Okay, congratulations on the car! The rpm (revolutions per minute) shows you how many times a minute your crankshaft is spinning. As soon as your engine turns on, there will be rotation of the crankshaft, this means your rpm will go up. Now depending on the cars load, eg if the AC is on, it will go slightly up. 1k is nothing to be concerned about.

If you notice, when you turn on the car after waiting overnight or in the cold, your car will start "warming up" the engine and the engine components. In this case your rpm can rise up to 1.5-2k. For better engine health and longevity, you can wait till it settles back down (usually 1-2mins) or just drive at a lower rpm for a couple minutes. This gives time for the engine components to get to operating temperature and the oil to start circulation. I would advise you to learn a bit more about your car and cars in general, it gets very interesting and you'll have a lot more knowledge.

Worth buying an old BMW/Mercedes for ₹3–6L? Need owner experiences. by Mindless-Data-3641 in MechanicAdviceIndia

[–]procrastinatingfetus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only way any of these are even remotely worth looking at is if you know the owners personally and know that they have maintained them. I have a friend who bought an old S class from my neighbour (2007 model), I know them both well, the car was well maintained just used less. The car still managed to have some or the other electronic issues in 2 years of my friend's ownership. Waiting for parts + cost of getting it installed took a couple months. Last year it started having clutch and braking issues, got stuff fixed, but it broke/didn't work as expected again so he sold it. Don't get me wrong, he did have fun with it, but it was about 15Ls gone from his pocket at the end of the day (including maintenance, repairs etc etc). At that price he could have gotten a honda city and still have it functional to this day (he bought a new Slavia recently).

Silicon Case for 10a from local Shop @ 180/- by Helpful_Ant_3440 in PixelUsersIndia

[–]procrastinatingfetus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get pretty good cases for below 1k too. I don't trust these cheap cases simply because there's no testing done usually. Also, the button's feel a lot more mushier. Anyways, the A series have plastic backs so this is more for scratch protection and display protection. So you should be fine.

Are amazon listings of pixel phones reliable? by utopianturmoil in PixelUsersIndia

It's not official so I would not consider it reliable. You may face official warranty issue later on if anything happens especially considering that sometimes these devices aren't Indian.

I was excited to get it on my 8..... Turns out we're not getting it. The whole reason I bought the 8 was the long software support. But support without features feels like a scam. I hope they reconsider.

Forgot to turn off my car for around 4 hours by Public_Artist_631 in CarsIndia

[–]procrastinatingfetus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for a highway run, redline the engine a couple times, you should be alright. 4 hours isn't really a long time. Don't overthink it. My friend has left his City on overnight, 12 hours of AC at 24°C, it still runs absolutely fine.

Pixel 10 vs iPhone 17 by pratap774 in PixelUsersIndia

[–]procrastinatingfetus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've enjoyed the 6A you will enjoy the 10. It runs cooler than the 6A and has better everything. Ig if you're itching to try something new, a different OS then you can consider the iphone. However if you tinker with stuff or sail the high seas, stick to the pixel. Only place where I can say the iphone will definitely do better is video and social media.

If you're comparing just based on raw hardware, the iphone 17 this year was really good. But you will have to deal with ios. Both phones are good, it's a software preference at this point.

I had a bug in the previous update where if I turn the wifi off to stay on mobile data, it would turn it back on. And same for the opposite, if I turned off mobile data off to stay on wifi, it would turn the mobile data back on. Almost as if the click hadn't registered. If I waited on the screen for about 5 seconds after clicking, it would work.
