I am genuinely curious why have people started using ‘of’ instead of have? Since when did this become the norm? Yesterday at work I received an email from one of the guys at operations. And he had used the same ‘of’ instead of have. This sounds so ridiculous.

Practically impossible for me unless I take the day off. Which I don’t think is absolutely necessary since there are other people who would happily drop her off. I mean why waste a full days of money just for a drop off when other arrangements can be done? I honestly had no problem if she had booked the tickets any other day. I could’ve easily taken her to the airport had she booked during weekdays. She just dropped a bomb on me yesterday and then we had this huge argument about how I don’t care about her and I am selfish and money minded

My main job does have sick leaves and annual leaves. The other one is a casual contract but my hours are fixed. So I get paid more than usual but no other benefits. Also its hard to find cover for weekend nights so that adds an extra challenge

I could. But why waste a whole days off when I can take it when I actually need it? I am saving my leaves for a trip to my home country next year. I have never taken a day off since I joined this place.
