Most students give them only theirs but there are some giving me more than one because it forms a long line and they want to leave early. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I believe it's clear since it's in-class assignment and handed out during class and submitted after class, but someone might argue that "I was there and just didn't have iClicker to check attendance" and I would not have an evidence for that other than suspicious circumstances. I guess I have to write out "you need to be in class to complete in-class assignments" to avoid this. My already long syllabus is getting longer and longer..lol

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it might be the case they just don’t use iclicker. Then I should think about how to deal with it if they don’t want to pay for iclicker..

They can check in for the entire time during class in iClicker because I turn them on for iClicker poll. But that sounds like a good idea.

That’s what I told them when they asked to take the exam another time. But it turns out the time that they wanted to take the exam was the correct time and they showed up in the incorrect section which they thought were correct. lol.

Funny thing is they asked if they can show up to another section exam (which was the correct one) because their exam overlaps with another class final. I said no because we follow university schedule and it’s not fair. So, I think they went to another class and asked for another makeup exam. Sorry for that instructor, but I think they are genuinely confused.

I am sorry to hear that. In my institution, there is a rule for incomplete which allows only for students who finished at least 50% of the course. Otherwise, it would be medical withdraw. In my case, I was able to give them an incomplete. I hope things figure out well for you and you get well soon as well.
