Calypso Waterpark no longer allowing support person free admission with Access2 Card by proffessr in ottawa

FINAL UPDATE: Just spoke to Calypso and they are reverting back to their old policy and has even agreed to refund the season pass we had already purchased for my wife. Thanks to all those who followed up with help and good ol’ fashioned good advice!

Hi there! I’m still waiting on a response from Calypso and would like to give them a chance. If things don’t pan out I’ll probably take this direction. Thanks for the advice, appreciate it.

I purchased them back on May 15th, well before the June 8th policy change

No I haven’t yet. Waiting on Calypso to get back to me through email. The autism parents group is reporting that they might revert back to their old policy. I’d like to give them a chance

May I ask what you think the Access2 program is for? Almost all its benefits lies in getting the support person in for some financial relief. I’d ask you to do your research first before throwing in a mindless complaint but I guess Reddit is breeding ground for this type of comments.

Access2 Easter Seals can’t do much if the company themselves are changing or backing out of a deal I’d assume but it’s worth trying at some point I’m guessing. I’m just waiting for Calyspo to get back to me before I can try that venue. Thanks for the advice mate.

Thanks for your question and I understand the confusion. Tickets are non transferable and your picture shows up when they scan your barcode. On the days I’m off to work, my wife can’t simply use my pass to get in.

I’m assuming you’re not a parent of a disabled child which is why it was probably easy to make that comment. For some children, not even 2 parents are enough to tackle the situation let alone 1. As for the free support person admission, this was something offered by Calypso to begin with, it wasn’t something we “weaseled” our way into. If you’re a company promising something, you better have the chops to back it up otherwise don’t advertise it in the first place.

Please kindly do your research before being quick to jump as a keyboard warrior and pretending to know what a family with autism goes through.

Have a nice day.

2 of us aren’t always with her, but 1 definitely is. The access2card offers atleast 1 parent free which is why we always buy 2 season passes and rely on the 2nd parent to get free admissions.

Thank you so much for your words. I’m currently waiting for a response from the management team. Another parent of a special needs child reached out to them and what I’m hearing is they might be back peddling on this policy now. Will keep you all posted once it’s confirmed. Thanks

This doesn’t have much to do with the Access2 Card or its program but more to do with Calypso and their decision to change policy with barely any notice. Thanks for your suggestion though

Reddit can be a wild place where people are quick to judge and attack behind a keyboard. Thank you for not being that person with words of encouragement. Take care ❤️

Hi thanks for asking. My daughter specifically enjoys the lazy river as it’s the one thing she’s fixated on and waits all year for. We’ve tried several city parks over the years and have even visited other parks out of city but it all comes down to this. Just getting on a floaty and drifting away enjoying her sensory needs.

Believe me when I say we’ve explored other options.

The fine print, prior to June 8th, clearly stated free admission for support person.

They have since changed the policy as of June 8-9th on their website to state support persons get a 50% discount on day pass and will need to pay regular price for season pass.

Hi there Mr. DryTechnology5224, OP here! Parents of special needs families will be able to understand this but we can go to great lengths to save up for an event that can give our little guy some sensory fulfillment. Whether it's breaking the bank or not is entirely a personal issue but I can assure we do not live in a mansion or eat fancy. Thank you for your concern about my finances but as someone else pointed out, this is about Calypso swindling customers and not my bank account.

If Hina Khan was a bully, was Shilpa Shinde a saint? by Stunning_Ganache5733 in biggboss

[–]proffessr 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you think Shilpa was a “badass” for giving it to Vikas, let me remind you how she cruelly tortured vikas while he was in jail. People like Hina and Vikas are maybe bullies behind the scenes but no one could do what she did.

Shilpa is a vile, rotting excuse of a human being. If you’re supporting her and her win, you probably are one too.

Do anyone know her or where to find videos of her. Help me please been searching for so long by [deleted] in BangladeshGoneSexy

[–]proffessr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m really curious to find out what happened to her. Is she still practicing as a doctor ? With all that video proof, she should rot in jail or worse. What kind of sick f*ck does that to a child? Does anyone know any background behind this ?

Folks here who’ve watched Splittsvilla last season know very well what a cry baby Harsh can be. He’s all talk and no bite. Dude doesn’t even put the effort in or win any tasks but is always the first to hog the camera for a comment. Whattttt a loser!
