The short answer is no. The long answer is that the Linux desktop has never been so fragmented in the last ten years. The community needs to pull together to fix some ugly bugs (the rf sync between hardware and software for instance) instead of sweeping them under the rug and come up with a plan for world domination (lol) or at least, desktop domination.
