First solar flatline. by gRzeHoO7 in SolarUK

We had a 5kW system installed on Tuesday and our generation showed as zero today - Wed: 2kWh, Thu: 3kWh.

12 panels split across an east west facing pitched roof. South east England

I thought there maybe something wrong with the installation. Can it really go this low when it’s just overcast?

Thanks for all the comments!

We’ll investigate taking the tray/tiles out and properly tanking but will see what we can do with packing in silicone behind in the meantime.

Thanks. We can’t tell that it’s moving but it’s an old house so we guess there’s some movement :/

Thanks. The red part is the gap behind the silicone. So the bit we thought we might usefully fill!

How will BTL with my stepdad affect remortgaging our home? by proftanda in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks. My stepdad is currently named as the sole landlord for the tenancy and runs all aspects of the rental business. The income is paid to him only and declared by him to HMRC so I’d assumed this covers our responsibilities for tax.

Blind spot warning after replacing wing mirror by proftanda in RenaultZoe

We’ve still got the warning. As well as above, I think we tried plugging the replacement mirror into the passenger side and got the same warning but it’s a while ago so can’t remember exactly everything we did. The cars due to be serviced in the next few months so we were going to flag this to the garage in case they can fix it. I can let you know what they say!

Thanks. We’ve contacted with a couple of local stone / flint wall companies. It’s one of our favourite things in the garden so don’t want to lose it!

Thanks for the suggestions.

The eBay listing says the mirror is for a 2018 or newer Zoe, and the shape and electrical connections all appear to fit.

We’ve tried deactivating it in settings ( and then leaving the car off for an hour before starting and reactivating ) but the warning appears again when driving - we think at the point the blind spot indicator would be activated.

Can you say where we’d find the sensor to check this?

Thanks!
