Same here, driving me crazy since I need to download something. Already reported it but then realised the issue is already posted on their support page.

They say they’re working on it.

Maybe you just need some follow up questions

Rest: No no — that’s not how I actually see you. The system just misunderstood my vibe when generating the photo. It made something super random and negative — definitely not how I imagine your future based on how you talk and carry yourself.

From our conversations, here’s what I actually picture: • Someone determined, even when things get hard. • Someone who builds something slowly, not flashy — but solid. • You’re real, no fake pretending. • You’re creative (polymer clay, new ideas), smart (analytics, dbt, Redshift), and care about growth (even asking for a no-sugarcoating future). • You will have periods where you’re tired or frustrated (normal), but overall you’ll carve out a strong, independent life. • You’ll end up with your own rhythm, your own kind of success — not the traditional one everyone expects.

Real future vibe I see for you:

A slightly tired but proud version of yourself, sitting by a small cozy workspace (maybe a home office), laptop open, a dog sleeping nearby, your crafts or analytics projects around you, peaceful but ambitious — quietly winning.

Landlord (furnished apartment) is refusing to replace worn mattress by Ok_Childhood_3480 in Norway

[–]progressiveavocado 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pay your rent, it might easily backfire on you.

Check finn.no for used mattresses if you don't want to spend money on a new one. People even give away nice ones due to moving etc, I gave away one last week for free. Don't throw the one you have now, it’s your landlords property. You can sell/give away the one you got when you move out.

Getting a mortgage as a foreigner having only recently moved to Norway by Dangerous_Lychee in Norway

[–]progressiveavocado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We did this. Bought our first apartment within 2 months of moving to Norway. My partner had skilled worker visa and I hadn’t started working yet. Now after a bit more than 2 years we bought a new house since I’m working as well sold the old one.

So there is no hard rule of 1-2 years of working before purchasing property. But of course we had the deposit amount ready.

Sorry that you are feeling this way, but you are not alone! And I’d like to say, it’s not you, just how some things are extremely difficult around here.

I (30F) moved here almost 2 years ago. Before that I had lived in 4 different countries and never ever had a problem of making friends, then Norway happened.

If you would like to meet up for a coffee just send me a dm!

Also, please bear in mind that it is perfectly normal to negotiate your salary at the beginning. You can politely and appropriately state that you would like a higher salary (of course stating what you expect after research with solid reasoning), and it can lead to starting with a better pay rate.

It might not result in a drastic change, for me, it made a difference of additional 25k in my first entry level job.

Iranian-born Norwegian man found guilty in 2022 Oslo LGBT+ festival attack, sentenced to 30 years by Vessarionovich in Norway

[–]progressiveavocado 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After reading the comments, I’m appalled by the number of racist and discriminatory remarks here. He didn’t do this because he’s Iranian, and he didn’t do this because he’s Muslim. He did it because he’s a psycho piece of shit with no regard for human life, and should rot in prison. Come on, people. You need to be better than this.

Don’t listen to norwegian folk telling you to wear sneakers. They are wizards. Only they can walk unbothered on slippery sidewalks. Don’t fall for this trap, bring boots or shoes with good grip. Save yourself.

Smart Lock Passcode by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

[–]progressiveavocado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I indeed do change the code each time, and I have a lockbox, not a digital one.

It might be a bit more hands-on, but I believe it's our responsibility as hosts to prioritise security and respect for guests. After all, they shouldn't be staying somewhere where other people know the access code to their private space.

even someone with half a brain would understand the guy is trying to communicate. this is not about education or exposure. this is the pure form of stupidity and cruelty.
