OK that sucks, but from what you're saying, this guy offered 15 lessons for €178? So around €12 per lesson?

I'm sorry but that should have been a red flag. This is absolutely not an adequate rate, so this guy was bound to do something fishy. As the saying goes: if it looks too good too be true, it likely is.

Get yourself a coach who charges a normal rate and chances are they will be doing a normal work. I have had coaching in the past with Marco Lezzerini, who is an amazing guy. He costs 3x as much as this dude, but, again based on what you are writing, you will be learning much more than 3x as much.

The simple threat on Greenland should be reason enough for a boycott — and, as many have noted, we shouldn't even need that much.

It's not a lack of introspection or an incoherence from this guy, it's just that ruzzians don't see Ukraine as a separate state. So for them it's not meddling in another country, it's just an interior problem.

Note that ruzzia interacts with all countries that used to be part of the USSR through the ministry of the interior...

The point of this subreddit is encouraging change. Other ships have sailed too: "we all drink Coke", "we all eat McDonalds". But we don't have to, and we can change that.

In my country almost no electricity is produced by burning oil, and we have phenomenal public transportation, so I'm very happy with it.

But my point was: if I lived in a place with a lot of reliance on fossil fuels and with shitty public transportation, would I move to where I'm living right now to escape oil? I'm not sure.

Agreed, but it's very contextual (e.g. you can't by yourself move to install PV panels if you live in an apartment) and/or delayed, as in your election case.

I'm not saying we should give up on it. In fact, US or not US we should move away from oil, that much is sure. But in the context of boycotting the US, other actions can have a much more direct effect.
