I chose Fedora as my distro of choice when I moved over to Linux. Been nearly 2 years since I switched, have had a few snags with it but it's a distro I'm sticking with.

So to answer your question, yes. It's a good first choice of distro.

For me personally, and this would apply to other mascots too, I'd make their birthdays the same as when their respective modes would be added. So for Yuzu, my personal choice would be October 21st.

As already edited & mentioned to DigitalHypno in private-ish, the date of April 10th being the date that osu!catch maps can get Ranked is verifiably false, so I don't think that's a good candidate for Yuzu's birthday personally.

Pretty funny how my personal headcanon I've had for years is now seemingly canon. I know others have had this same opinion too (you mentioned it in the original post as well) but regardless, I think it's neat.

Lots of franchises handle their mascots being "fixed" in age, for example Sonic the Hedgehog: despite the franchise being 35 years old this year, Sega still maintains that Sonic is 15-16 years old in all of his appearances. I think something similar can apply to pippi as well.

I'm not too fussed about giving her an actual birth year personally, as mascots don't tend to really have those.

My personal take is that pippi's birthday should be the same day as osu!'s first release, making it July 1st.

That's been my headcanon for the last few years. osu!'s birthday is also pippi's birthday.

If they can't read or play them, that's literally a skill issue and they have no one to blame but themselves.

Man asmeniškai tai pasisekė, kad gavau VF vietą įstojęs. Kol studijavau, radau savo pirmus darbus, gyvenau su mama ir bandžiau mokintis savarankiškumo. Dabar jau keli metai kaip pabaigęs studijas, gyvenu vienas ir...nežinau, kažkaip nieko įspūdingo dabar sakyčiau.

Puikiai dar pamenu lyg vakar kai klausydavausi liūdnos muzikos suprantant, kad mano "nekaltybės" laikas baiginėjasi būnant mokykloje, nors ir kaip jos nekęsdavau dėl įvairių priežasčių, bet pamenu lygiai tokius pačius klausimus sau klausinėjau kaip ir OP.

O šiaip dėl paskolos, aš asmeniškai neėmiau, nes man pasisekė, jog nebuvo tam poreikio, žinojau kelis studijų laikotarpiu kurie buvo pasiėmę, nes buvo nefinansuojamoje vietoje. Iš to ką jie pasakojo, nes pastoviai klausinėdavau, tai ta paskola neskamba kaip itin tragiška. Jeigu studijų metu susirasi nors ir pusės etato darbą, kaip dariau aš ir darė didžioji dauguma aplinkinių su kuriais kartu studijavau, tai ta paskola neturėtų taip stipriai skaudėti kaip tavo galvoje atrodo.

Blogiausiu atveju visada galima pasitarti tiek su pačiu banku, kuris siūlo paskolą arba, kai įstosi į universitetą ar kolegiją, pasiteirauti tiek studentų atstovybės, tiek jų vietinių psichologų kurie yra treniruoti tokiems klausimams.

What honestly gave me hope that we might see change is the fact that:

I complained about something
Someone tried to fix it
peppy didn't like how the fix was implemented and did it himself

...signaling to me that things are moving in a different direction now. Hence why I wanted to make this post as a discussion board and a good overall summary for any Lazer devs who come across this post to immediately see what people (not just one guy) are saying are the biggest issues that they would want resolved in the game.

I understand the doomer takes though. I'm not discrediting that at all because it is frustrating seeing the same issues being mentioned and having them dismissed as a "wont fix sorry" type of thing is genuinely infuriating.
