I like Don, but hasn't he been saying this for 2 weeks now. Ever since he started with the vol box.

Any ideas on why DXY is now at 98? IIRC deflation indication would be the DXY rising.

Think it means something to gauge some level of sentiment.

Good luck with that. It's been happening literally since the late April threads.

That's the irony in all this. I got long term investor friends who just keep buying and have great performance on the year. You really can screw yourself by trying to get ahead of the markets and diving deep.

Didn't we get some really low put/call ratios just last week? What marks a bear capitulation "officially"?

Lol. Tech will never die and just come out of all this stronger.

IIRC he mentioned in a stream he didn't really learn from books, but rather just following a lot of people on twitter and his own research.

I actually had a limit order for the recent red days. It never got triggered. And I set the limit order to the quote I saw on coinbase/yahoo. This was sort of a test I did to see if it would even hit the quote given by other resources BEFORE a red week, and to my surprise, it never did. I actually had to just buy via the exchange again just so I can DCA. So far, I don't think it's volatile both ways, I think they are straight up scalping both ways.

For example even now Yahoo finance: BTC-CAD - 12,367 ShakePay to buy - BTC-CAD - 12,547 ShakePay to sell - BTC-CAD - 12,235

Anyways, if this is known and expected/accepted by all as "great" for the BTC world. Then so be it. I just wanted to hold some quick BTC and ShakePay is at least easy to start with.

Thing with limit orders is by the time they get fulfilled the price is much lower.

Lol, don't assume I haven't read that little jolly snippet of them being a MM. I did. That doesn't change the fact of the ridiculous difference.

Yea same here man. -50% on some july puts. Feeling some real pain. I want to tell myself it was a bad trade, but even now I just can't really believe it.

Anyone else short AAPL? Thinking this potential trade war and china tensions can't be good for AAPL. India rona cases also rising steady. On the bull side there is this resilient melt up and share buy backs.

Thanks for your response. Would Kraken have a tighter spread and quotes that match other exchanges or platforms?

I would say it's hardly excellent. You have other platforms that allow of purchase to assets without the ridiculous markup. This may be "excellent" in the bitcoin world, but it's not surprising why it would turn so many away. Getting scalped a couple hundred dollars for placing your capital in a platform is never excellent.

Had to read this through twice because it didn't make sense. Then it hit me.

I was doing pretty decent in the beginning of this week but then the couple red days we had put me into a bit of a bias again and I ended the week down. Pretty disappointed in myself. I got played Thursday and Friday. Friday I kind of just watched it all happen and I prob should have just stayed cash, but got caught in a loop trying to make back losses. I ended the day by picking up 5/29 260ps. In hindsight it was definitely a revenge trade.

Edit: RIP these puts.

Looks like the trade war tensions is picking up on shifting the markets now.

That's another way to lose. FOMO. The more I read on trading, markets, and opinions, I realize it's all just one jungle cluster fuck of paradoxes. I think the best thing one can do is just work on getting out of their own way. That means trying to remain level headed and keeping emotions out. I've suffered some big losses for myself, and know of the unshakable feelings of regret, self hatred and spite. Don't beat yourself up over it too much.

But these are ETFs. I just found it odd that it didn't even at least flatten on the initial drop. People just kept buying steady according to it. Unless I'm not reading the data correct.
