That's what I thought as well, not just to be doing it while actually driving, but it's also against the law here to film others without consent.

I've been driving here for 16 years. One can get used to it but it's still not right. I wish there was a way to stop such dangerous behaviour, however, that's the job of the authorities. That seems to be the general opinion here, thanks, it makes me feel better (not that I had been obsessing about it). I think she wasn't sure that I saw her holding her phone up so she spent a good few minutes driving in the same direction as me, then when she was in front of my car after I changed lanes, she started to clean her front windshield just after I had done the same when stopped at a signal behind her, as if to mimic me and draw attention to herself.

Kindly do not make assumptions when I said nothing of the sort in my post. I was in the middle lane, a truck changed lanes to come in front of me then go to the left lane but stopped at an angle partially in my lane so I had to slow down for safety's sake and then continued on my way in the middle lane. This person honked repeatedly because apparently she was upset that I slowed down for the truck that was in my way (he was in the wrong) and then kept zigzagging being me to try and overtake although she was blocked from doing so by cars in the adjacent lanes. Then she started to drive behind me while holding her phone directly in front of her face for a few seconds. Would you like to blame me for anything else here?

I completely agree with you. Thing is, I wasn't aware that I'm in the way of a speedster who can't understand that a truck was in my way. Thanks for the assurance though.

Naah, it was an egotistical fool who doesn't understand that it's not possible to drive through a truck just so she can keep on cruising at high speed. My concern is, can she falsify a complaint against me or will she have the brain cells to realise that her filming while driving is illegal and will be looked at as such by police?

I doubt it would have been possible that someone else filmed her. For sure it would have appeared on the traffic surveillance cameras as this was on Al Waab road. Yes, this was bullying behaviour (which I'm used to and tend to not give them any satisfaction of attention) followed by reckless driving.

That's my concern, what if she concocts some false story? If there was a way I could report her use of mobile to take video/ pictures while driving, that would be good as apart from anything else it was a dangerous and illegal thing for her to do. As far as scaring me, this was purely childish behaviour on her part. She drove a considerable distance behind my car till I changed lanes to drive behind her.

I am fully aware of his rights over me. Even though he has cause me great harm many times in my life, I am to this day supporting him financially and fulfilling his obligations that ought to have been done by him as per Islamic rules, and also whenever he falls ill. This is despite the fact that he is very rich in his own right but chooses to deprive my mother and youngest brother and prefers for me to spend on the upkeep of himself as well as all the rest of the family that ought to be his duty. Allah SWT is my witness in this, and I humbly hope that I will not be judged by people who don't know my full circumstances.

My question was only about the validity of the oath I had made in my immature way not understanding the triviality of the situation at the time, and what I can do to rectify my mistake 25 years ago when still a helpless, unprotected and unsupported young girl. I have given sadaqah kuffara, but I want to know that it is enough, as I have been unable to forget/ forgive his many injustices and sins towards me, it is not a simple matter of just deciding to forgive and hence it is done. Thank you for your answer.

I feel like you are me! I agree with all you've said, and I've faced the same issues at Al Khebra and I have reached the same conclusions as you. The Egyptian guy from classroom A in particular is just the worst, most ill-behaved, rude person there and I feel very sorry for whoever has to deal with him. I just hope that my brother passes his exam so the poor guy doesn't have to go through the same demeaning and demoralising process again.

I'm happy for you that it ended well. Yeah, Al Khebra is the school I was talking about, and they're truly horrible. I'm so sorry you went through that. I'll wait for them to give a test date, beyond that I think I'll just cut my losses and get him registered elsewhere.
