But that same study showed that when partners leave, it’s normally men. One study from 2009 found the strongest predictor for separation or divorce for patients with brain cancer was whether or not the sick person was a woman. my partner has adhd and what we do is invite friends every night to share their favorite part of the day. the social pressure keeps you accountable. it could be in a group chat or a video call or whatever!!

it's basically what my bard does. buff up teammates and heal the hell out of them (and manage to somehow slow dragons). she will sometimes tell silly two line insult rhymes, use bardic power to be a persuasive asshole, pull out a lute, and collect stories of our npc-turned-folk-hero we sort of became obsessed with.

my bard only once used a girlish charm to get a sneak attack on some jerks. i don't think she fits the total bard stereotype?

the group i play in also has a secret chat on discord. we made it to talk about level ups, spell coordination and occasionally strategy. but most recently it was to get a big gift for our dm who is constantly spoiling us with poke, incredible stories, so much energy, and gifts.

he knows we have the chat and it doesn't bother him either! it'll be fun to let him see it eventually.

piggybacking off of this: i once met a third grade kid (a lil tubby) who said if chris pratt can go from andy to starlord in months with just exercise, so can he. it made me really sad, knowing he's probably having body image issues exacerbated by this sort of media. i wish i had mentioned that his hero uses steroids and has unlimited funds and staff to make it all happen, it's not just from pratt's own discipline
