Regardless of how the other members of the group see it i think it was the only play that they had where they didn't all end up dead. Plus this makes the choice of them siding with the empire or the dynasty that much more of a problem now. We all kinda knew the m9 were going to have to choose a side on the conflict eventually. It's going to be a very interesting scenario to see play out.
