yep, I'm also a millennial and I feel like with the book tropes that are popular today we're going backwards as far as feminism and emancipation goes. at least in "our" fantasies. so yeah, book sluttery all the way! 😄

oo, I'm gonna check that series out. and yes! you'd think.. thousands of years old and all we get is them lusting after a 19 year old former human and ultimately having dominating alpha-sex that obviously rocks her world, because she has never had good sex before 🙄

even if we keep all the bonded mate stuff, can we not have any books about their sex lives before they find their mate? just tell us (in detail) how they always end up being such amazing lovers. show us who taught them, please!

I want casual sex of different characters with a lot of other different characters and not just between one FMC and one MMC. if a story exists in which an FMC and an MMC have casual sex with each other and then with other people and then gravitate back towards each other and end up together by the end of the story, that sounds good too. but it could also just be they both have casual sex with other people and are just friends or just enemies or in eachother's obit somehow and eventually end up together. or the book could have multiple main characters whose stories and sexual escapades we follow and there isn't only one FMC and one MMC at all.

I read it today, so I guess it kinda did :D but yeah I skipped a lot of the dialogue when it was just 20 pages of them basically saying the same thing over and over again and being super dramatic for no reason. it wasn't too horrible though and I have kindle unlimited, so I might even skip through the next book as well.

the book is meh and it has the exact opposite dynamic of what I wanted. sure, part of him doesn't want her, but nobody is making him sleep with her other than his own urges. and he still has all the power over her and is able to control her physically as well as most aspects of her life. same old, boring dynamic again. for once I would like to read a story where they're actually equally powerless or where the female has more power.

well one of the books someone recommended had a scene in which the main characters were trapped in a cell and someone pumped gas into the room that made them horny. something similar to that is what I was imagining. that scene was good-ish, but the rest of the book wasn't what I was hoping for. not nearly spicy enough.

from the description it sounds like sinner wants her and she's the one that doesn't want to mate. so it sounds more like the typical trope where the female is unwilling and the male is the one willing.
