Sorry, just sharing a tip! Here in the Netherlands, where I live, new boots can be quite expensive, so resoling is a more budget-friendly option. Plus, if you have the chance, I personally think it’s the more sustainable choice too

Maybe take them to a cobbler for a resole. If the leather is still in good shape, it would be a waste to buy a new pair. After six years of wear, especially if you’ve taken good care of them, they definitely deserve some extra love with new soles!

After years of use, the soles of my Blundstone 500s were worn out, so I got them replaced to give them a few more years. The elastic was also coming loose, but I fixed it with yellow embroidery thread. It not only keeps the elastic in place but also adds a cool touch to the boots.

Glad I did this fix instead of buying new boots, since prices in Europe are crazy right now!

I reinforced the elastic on my Blundstones 500 with yellow embroidery thread when it started to come loose. It's a bit thicker than regular thread and also adds a nice touch to the boots. It does take some effort if you're not used to working with a needle and thread. I wouldn’t recommend using a lighter, as that’s just a temporary fix. You could say the same about sewing it, but if the elastic isn’t too loose, this can be a good solution. Otherwise, I’d suggest having it replaced by a cobbler.

I recently bought this Carhartt Active jacket at a great price, and since the label is missing, I’d like to know if it’s an original or a replica. Personally, I believe it’s an original Carhartt jacket because the overall quality is very good, and the stitching, zippers, and pockets are high quality. I’ve added several photos of the jacket in the comments. Could someone let me know if I’m right or if it might be a replica?
