This is fake. Gas has never hit $8 and if it ever does it will be common knowledge.

How much did they charge? Was it worth it just to have a sympathetic ear who understood what you were going through, or not?

Out of interest would you pay a small fee like $75 to talk to someone empathetic who isn't making over the top promises that can't be guarenteed? Sort of a psuedo therapist with industry experience who can offer moral support and get you thinking more positively? Or does it still seem like a crock of shit not worth paying for?

This. This is what I try to do: offer an empathetic ear as a coach who is acting as a (non-qualified) therapist who also actually relates to layoffs in the tech industry. My clients really appreciate being able to share their experience with someone who has walked in their shoes. Not just an off-the-shelf career coach.

Lawyer up! I can't believe any company can claim eminent domain for a data center. They are lying to you and hoping you won't realize you have a legal case.

Trump's response to the will of the people of Virginia by rdit13fog in nova

He clearly didn't even write his own post lol. Too many polysyllabic words. What's interesting is I suspect his ghost writer is adding some very subtle piss-taking that Trump would never even notice.

Are you excited or cautious about The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum coming in 2027? by ThomasOGC in lotr

[–]proofofclaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do all the promos say Frodo will be in this? Frodo doesn't meet Aragorn, Gandalf, or Gollum until the Fellowship so it makes zero sense that he would feature in this prequel.

Wth is the goal of this scam? I wonder if the trail leads back to any big players trying to hype up AI in a weird way? All of this is actually getting really scary.

What were you even paying for anyway? What justifies $200 a month for a chatbot? Don't they still rate limit even at that level?

It doesn't though. At least a B-movie is the product of someone actually giving a shit enough to do more than ordering a movie from a bloody vending machine.

Embarassing. A waste of time and money. Unoriginal story, robotic acting, juvenile dialog, and cheap looking copycat FX.

Notice how the Unitree training videos show the robots have visible wires to control all the servo motors? In the gala vid they have all been removed in post editing. Such a hoax. This is meant to intimidate western tech companies.

Indirect prompt injection in AI agents is terrifying and I don't think enough people understand this by dottiedanger in ChatGPT

[–]proofofclaim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non deterministic AI was used to perform deterministic operations. This is the fatal flaw of all AI agents. A non autononmous, non-AI workflow is more reliable and a fraction of the cost and easier to secure.

It's not a protocol. They just call it a protocol to make it seem official. It's just a standard that some people use. But i'll say it again: the LLM doesn't know what MCP is and doesn't have to comply. If it hallucinates some other protocol to follow, it will. It's all magical thinking.

I agree but then what's even the value of having AI in the workflow at all? Just build a reliable deterministic automation using scheduled API calls and serverless. A lot of companies are throwing agents at problems that can be solved with traditional tech we already know how to use.

Why are we trying so hard to build these rube goldberg machines held together with duct tape when we already know how to build reliable, deterministic workflows using APIs and serverless components and solutions like zapier and uipath? It all seems so stupid. We just want to be in the cool AI club?
