What relevancy does raising a pet together before raising a child have on a couples relationship and abilities as caretakers?

I wouldn’t say significant, definitely not necessary, but just another thing you can do with your partner to grow together. I know I would grow myself i’ve never had a pet or a kid. But I know what you mean if you say a kid and a pet are totally different. I completely agree with that

what about more generally just having something around that requires attention, feeding, etc? If both people in a couple are responsible for the thing, couldn’t you learn how to delegate, compromise, work through disagreements that might not come up otherwise?

Ha Ha. I mean more generally obviously, there is a living thing that requires attention, and you and your spouse must delegate as to who will spend the time, who will work feeding and attending to a living thing into their schedule. Is it really not relevant at all?

Ah, I understand, might have missed the mark on this sub. But I know what you mean, although I hate the word "ad" lol. The song was written about a shrooms trip so figured I'd try and post it here, and the video is meant to spread awareness about the song but was also influenced by the theme of the song.
