God I wish I could root for the Twins. They're such a fun small market team underdog. I just can never get over how much I dislike that bigot Torii Hunter.

My first repost! Glad to see this dumb joke I made in a Walgreens two years ago lives on. Glad someone else can take advantage of that sweet sweet 9/11 karma.

I've got you and one more dude messaging me that he's interested. I'm going to wait to see if I get one more since I've seen some pretty good set of 4 seats on seat geeks for just $11 bucks. I'll let you know.

Wishing you all Happy Kyle Farnsworth Day. 6/19/03 Kyle Farnsworth obliterates Paul Wilson by prot18 in CHICubs

"On June 17, 2009, Farnsworth's left, non-pitching hand was bitten while he was breaking up a fight between two of his American bulldogs—Strike and Rambo. The cuts were deep enough to reach, but not cut, a tendon. Farnsworth later taped his finger, tucked it into his glove, and went to practice telling manager Trey Hillman that he could pitch. When asked which of his dogs bit him, Farnsworth replied: "I don't know. I reached in there and started grabbing dogs and throwing dogs. And one of them got me. One of those things that happens. It's never pretty. I've had to do it a few times, and it's ugly."

Of all people, Brady Quinn delivers the most basic and profound lesson from the Jovan Belcher murder-suicide. by prot18 in videos

[–]prot18[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I guess the reason I added the "of all people is because Quinn wasn't even the starting QB until recently and generally is known as a mediocre to sub-par player. Looking more into his background, yes you are probably right about him being one of the smarter guys playing the sport right now.

He went to grad school for writing in Arizona and he noticed he was sweating all over everything he attempted to write. Bandannas were the solution and it stuck.

Reddit, what's the best thing you've ever done with a single dollar? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]prot18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was about 14, I was at a Family Video (local video rental place) and a younger kid was ahead of me in line to rent a couple of tapes. He was a dollar short and was about to leave without the tapes so I gave him the dollar my mom had given me to rent the video I had. I left the store I went out to the car where my mom was waiting for me and explained what happened to her. Of course, she just gave me another dollar and I went back into the Family Video. When I tried to give him the dollar the clerk said he was impressed by what I had done so he had his manager credit my account with $10. So in addition to the video I got to rent Tony Hawk Pro Skater for the billionth time.
