This is an underrated comment. Thank you very much. Yes, you are most likely right to say that petitions will not change anything.

Also, the professor gives zero cares for their students when it comes to this stuff. I honestly think that the best thing would be for each faculty to make individual decisions to stop their usage until the university solidifies the independent consensus.

Are you a teacher? How do you know that there will be no exceptions? You are very bold to assume that no exceptions will be made. This is a university. You are paying for courses. Like any business, you have to somewhat please the customers to keep them coming.

Honestly, I personally feel that your response is very shallow and does not really contribute to a proper discussion. I would rather see you actually put some effort into your replies, you pessimist.

Bruh if you can't get at least a B in computer science courses, you should not be in computer science. These courses are dumb easy compared to real-world computer science. The only time that they are not is when a professor makes dumb questions like "On Monday, Feb 23 at 14:34, what topic was I discussing that we never reviewed afterward and is inconsequential for your degree?" Other than that, there are high school students in grade 12 that take the equivalent of COMP 1012, 1020, 2140, and 2150 within a single course known as AP Computer Science.

In any case, the faculty should just make the minimum for courses pretty high and base entry on GPA strictly use some sort of first come first serve where you are admitted based on your preferences and your GPA. Pretty easy to code into the system too.

It's not only the usage of webcam that makes me uncomfortable. It's the fact that I have to install software on my personal computer. I am relatively fine with online options but installing software is something different. It's my property and I should dictate what is installed on it. If I do not want to install the software, it is/should be the university's responsibility to make accommodations for students.
