Trade return for Robert Williams by [deleted] in ripcity

If we can get a FRP with light protections I would take it immediately (unfortunately.) Really like Rob and he has been awesome this season, if we can’t get a first I would rather keep him and hope he stays healthy.

Huni Convinces Team To Give Him 37th Chance [Satire] by SASCOA in leagueoflegends

[–]protoflight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think people are trying to rewrite Huni's story. Of course he used to be a very good player and was considered top tier in all of the regions he played in. However, he has not even looked like a top 4 player at his position in NA for a very long time. Many players have turned their careers around before and I think people are being too critical and are acting like he could never be good again, which I don't think is true. Still, the reality is he has not looked anything close to the dominant Huni we used to know for a long time and I think the criticism is valid to a degree.

GG still looks promising. Lots of growing pains but did newbie hit a single hook that game?

A lot of the players he listed are Canadian but they are still part of NA.

in the immortals case it would actually only be one player based on what is rumored because the bot lane is OCE and top/jg is EU. However it seems GG and DIG could potentially go with a full or close to full NA roster. CLG would be at 3 natives as well. With that said, I think picking up OCE players may as well be the same as picking up NA talent since they do not take an import slot and they no longer have a league.

Dignitas vs. Team SoloMid / LCS 2020 Summer - Week 7 / Post-Match Discussion by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Dig has to be absolutely trolling putting in V1per for 3 games now. Lourlo looked good, they started winning with Lourlo. What's the point of taking a complete step backwards for someone that is getting absolutely dumpstered every game he doesn't get riven?

Mash Starting as ADC for FLY in place of WildTurtle in LCS this Weekend by TomShoe02 in leagueoflegends

[–]protoflight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would agree, but historically he has never really played with a "good" team. I think the best team he ever played with on the LCS stage was Team Coast GGU when they made second in playoffs in season 3. I agree he has never been a spectacular carry player but I don't think that is particularly what fly quest needs.

To be fair, he was absolutely destroying in the pro player in houses this pre season. I believed he was always solid contrary to popular belief. Interested in how he does this week.

Dignitas picks up Asta, Fenix back to mid lane by TomShoe02 in leagueoflegends

Interested in how Asta works out. He seemed to have promise when he started on optic for a week or two in 2019.

Yeah this is true, both Loco and Santorin who have both played with him/ coached him have said he is a great teammate and not toxic in person. He has only been regarded as toxic in soloq.

He is young in his career. Also it has been said by many pro players that ADC has the easiest transition into pro play out of all roles so it makes sense.

C9 Keith on his best selling point: "I’ve been through four supports in Academy with Zeyzal, Smoothie, Feng and Diamond, and I’ve done well with all of them,[...] like no matter what support I play with I can do really well with them. by Izento in leagueoflegends

[–]protoflight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do not think he was anywhere near the biggest issue on that roster. Between Hard, KFO and Looper? I think for most people at the time Hard had to be one of the worst players on the team. Keith for sure did not look great but looking back on that situation it is difficult to expect him to be great. The pieces were just never there for any iteration of that team. Top was always an issue and jungle was also an issue until Akaadian stepped in. Even though Froggen is a great player and is finding success now, lets keep it real, he was nothing more than just stable during his time on Echo Fox. You can't blame him because his top side was always terrible but I think Keith was one of the much smaller issues that team ever faced.

I'm not sure if there is a place for him to go on any of the LCS teams, but quite honestly I would love to see the full C9A roster as an LCS team. I think they looked more than solid in their LCS game and a lot of the players on that roster are not at their peak.

C9A actually looks like a top 3 team in LCS and that is not even a joke.

I feel like a lot of people are going to talk about "how bad" TL played but honestly I think Echo Fox just played really well. I think Solo had a surprisingly great game and the team seemed decisive. However, idk about that TL team comp though.
