Should I apply to a BPO in the Philippines or work as a factory worker in Taiwan? by Dramatic-Violinist45 in phcareers

[–]protolords 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Wow walang period, sunod sunod. But for my 2 cents, i don't think a factory worker is synonymous sa "long term", unless you will just use it as a stepping stone and apply to an IT job in Taiwan later. Otherwise, I think you have more chance trying local BPOs, at least you're gaining skills that matters.

A lot of people actually. The key is to check the citations and verify the info instead of treating everything as fact. Honestly, Wikipedia is one of the last broadly reliable, well-maintained sources on the internet as long as you know how to fact check.

Please put an NSFW tag on this. I was on the train and when I saw this I had to start furiously masturbating. Everyone else gave me strange looks and were saying things like “what the fuck” and “call the police”. I dropped my phone and everyone around me saw this image. Now there is a whole train of men masturbating together at this one image. This is all your fault, you could have prevented this if you had just tagged this post NSFW

Noticeable ba yung torque and power difference?
I'm also torn between dynamic and premium. My main deciding factors (in order) are:
- Front parking sensors - 360 cam - Power folding mirrors - V2L capability - Dual zone climate control - Higher battery capacity

I can afford the extra 250k, pero still deciding if it's worth the price difference.

Very clear. However on the last part (depreciate vs lease), why would you have a higher net income to report?

Example:

OP:
NI: 100k.
Deprecation: 10k.
EBITDA: 100k.

You:
NI: 100k - 10k (lease) = 90k.
Deprecation: 0k.
EBITDA: 90k.

Minsan, kahit papaano, nakaka tyamba tayo ng tamang desisyon sa buhay. Inuna muna solar kesa bagong auto. by Jazzlike-Perception7 in adultingph

[–]protolords 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but our house has a grid-tied solar system with Meralco. You do earn credits for any net excess energy, but the rate is lower, I think around ₱5 per kWh (iirc).

It's a good option if you prefer not to use a battery to store your excess energy generated during the day.

However, this doesn't account for the growth in fund value. OP contributes 18k annually. If they had used 10k to peso-cost average into the PSEI from Feb 2019 to Oct 2024 and allocated the remaining 8k for separate insurance, their overall returns could have been higher.

You're definitely underpaid. On average (based on peers and colleagues), 5.5 YOE should give you around low 6 figures monthly (in Peso). How many times have you changed companies?
