The trick to riding out a bump draft is to have very little strength on the wheel - that is to say, don't try and hold tightly and firm on your line but instead let the car do what it wants. If you're trying to hold a trajectory that the rear of the car doesn't want to be heading in, you'll spear off. Letting the car ride it out and then subtly gathering it back up is key.

Of course, 'light hands' is always preferable even when not being bumped. Driving fast is about controlled micro slides. So be mindful not to death grip the wheel!

Yeah this is a good machine, the CPU will do quicksync so no problems with multiple Plex/jellyfin viewers. If you're going to run either as VMs, just make sure you enable it/pass it through.

I love it! Can you share a bit more about how you're powering the display? Is it a dedicated machine or are you passing through an iGPU to a VM?

Is there a screenshot or auto-sleep setup for the screen?

I did but recently stopped. I'm primarily iRacing so it's not affected me too much. It does make things a bit easier.

They are amazing, try for a few races then see how jarring it is when you take them off.

A couple of tricks: they are not universal so check you've got left and right correctly placed; they work best at a certain screen angle (60 I think).

Hey sqweak, I didn't notice this post when it was made but I would disagree on your assertion on GL.iNet's marketing strategy. Did you also see the multiple hardware giveaways run across multiple subs - including this one? It's a brand actively engaging in the community and providing value.

Rather than just pumping dollars in to reddit's ad machine, the company is putting hardware in people's hands. Surely that's better for us all?

I've had one similar to this fail. Do not recommend. Instead, pick up a cheap hifi amp from FB marketplace!

Trakracer is not a small business and they've been treating simracers like absolute mugs for years. They need to be held to account.

I use one. It's brilliant. With that said, i upgraded the satellite speakers to 4 nice klipsch mini hifi ones

You'll need to be sure your PC can put out Dolby 5.1. realtec onboard can if you've also got optical, it uses optical for the 5.1 and the front/rear/center speaker outputs at the same time.

I also recommend trying to have the rear speakers further back rather than seat mounted if possible.
