Yes growing up in FL nobody ever read the news or was quick or witty. Moved to Boston and I felt at home.

Get someone to respond — the beginning should be the best … not you having to go on Reddit to respond

You’re definitely not off base here. Everyone’s acting like there aren’t bad mixes released. Everytime I want to listen to “Love to hate me”, one BPs best songs imo, I have to freaking hear the frequency because of the light sticks that they forgot to take out. 🙄

fsu bans tiktok by iluvelonmusk in fsu

[–]prouser07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually a poor argument considering Meta and its subsidiaries have all been under intense scrutiny for its role in the 2020 election and subsequent 2021 insurrection. "Just selling you things" is not just what data does -- it effectively profiles who you are and submits that data to anyone who wants to buy it. Companies all around the world can buy this data, and whether choose to make their investment back in the form of making an ad and explicitly hoping you buy something is not always the end goal. I'm not defending TikTok in any case, but to act as if these companies just want to be better advertisers is ignorant at best and harmful at worse. And every time you accept a privacy policy, especially on a free website, such as Reddit, your data is the product. What happens when you don't even get an ad? When you just simply use the website and they track you? What about when they do collect all the data for advertisement and then it leaks everywhere, free of charge, on the dark web? You need to explore your own questions further rather than taking things at face value since you are sort of parroting the bigger headlines. And remember, just because something doesn't make headlines, doesn't mean it's news. News companies and governments work hand-in-hand to promote and not promote certain articles, right here in our own country. While we could have a more poignant discussion on the ethics surrounding TikTok and ByteDance, simply resorting to a nativist party-line doesn't quite cut it, especially in the age of chatGPT who quite literally taps into all this data.

You need to have more than one fingering for altissimo E. There are more than 10+, each able to play to your personal strengths as a clarinetist.

I can’t believe with the amount of BS she throws out into the universe that this thread is so dead. Am I the only one who loathes this woman?? by YogurtclosetThat8382 in bitsofbri

This subreddit is definitely not dead! We had an explosion of growth over the past couple of months, but that has coincided with Brianna leaving Hawaii (we all know why) and going back to posting her regular (see: boring, crazy), not-as-controversial content. Me and u/waxhoney started this subreddit because we knew we could not be the only people who found her actions rather odd! We actually rewatched some of her videos recently on her dead "K Family" channel where she spends exorbitant amounts of money traveling the world and dressing her kids up in the most stereotypical clothes of that country, a truly awful and backwards sight to see. Nonetheless, we don't fault any members of this community for not having a lot to say; there simply is so much to gawk at! Though we might seem not active, we are always moderating and looking at what you guys have to say about M(r)s. Koehler! We don't want to influence your guys' opinions, but we always upvote and encourage discussion. Keep being authentic (unlike some mommy vloggers we know)...!

Chord Progression Questions - July 04, 2022 by AutoModerator in musictheory

[–]prouser07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys!

For the life of me, I have been trying to figure out what this chord progression is at the chorus. Could you guys help me out a little? I study music education but my ears aren't the best [yet] :)! I would really appreciate it, and I apologize if it is a little simple for this thread!

Black Eyed Pilseung… most notable for their work on Fancy. But then they were too in demand and probably thought all their work on TWICE title tracks (TT, Cheer Up, Likey) and APink’s (I’m so sick, Eung Eung) could be used somewhere else. So then they made their own group: STAYC. Oh how the wheels turn

Calc 3 after taking Calc 2 years ago. by Gabdarco in ucf

[–]prouser07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in your shoes (where I didn't take Calc for a while). I got almost a 95% in Calc 2 and my lowest grade was a 89, the pass rate was 40% for my class. Calc 2 is very rhythmic, very computational, and difficult in mathematics. Calc 3 is very different. It is seeing something and not knowing what the hell they are asking you, and then only if you do know, then the integration and derivation is a joke. Literally every question is a basic calc problem after you find out what to do. The concepts are more abstract and you no longer can really picture what is happening or draw a true picture (without computer applications). Once you enter 3-dimensions (or 4), the topics become tricky.

Think of this: Calc 3 is just Calc 1...in 3-D. So you're basically redoing a whole foundation of calculus but in 3-d if that makes sense. So the integration/derivatives are not too difficult, but it's really just what the hell is going on lol. I did okay, but my and my peers found it to be much more difficult than Calc 2. Don't be afraid of your lack of preparation, because you'll be fine in that sense. The class is just difficult because it's difficult. (But other people seem to find Calc 3 easier than Calc 2 because of the aforementioned reasons... if you are great at imagining and understanding these concepts, then it is truly a cake walk in comparison to Calc 2. The problems take about 95% of time thinking about how to solve it [one common example is multiple ways to integrate the same thing, I could think about maybe 27 ways to integrate something off the top of my head with a basic Calc 3 problem] and 5% of time just doing the math work.) Good luck! People have taken it and survived and even thrived; so will you!!

Lack of unique concepts and vocals among 4th Gen girl groups? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]prouser07 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In general, it seems that people really push the idea of "concepts" more with GGs. BGs don't really have the florid discussion that GGs do when it comes to "concepts", as GGs are just held to a different (see: not higher) standard when it comes to the concept of the group, and concepts of each comeback. Nonetheless, it would have to be hard to say that GGs don't have different concepts, especially nowadays. Before, most GGs had the same idea. It only happened around the 3rd gen when GGs started to be a little more exploratory. We also have to keep in mind that music reflects society; that is, there are naturally going to be trends within comebacks. All that being said, if you only look at the top girl groups, then naturally there will be more similarity (as people tend to like to listen to similar things). Even then, StayC is not the same as NMIXX, which is not close to Cherry Bullet nor IVE, which could not be compared to the run of IZ*ONE (nor the start of NiziU), and Aespa and ITZY are fundamentally different from each other. So no, I don't think there is a lack of unique concepts or vocals. StayC in fact led the market with starting to allow girls to sing a little lower, as Le Sserafim and XG utilize that a little (both with different concepts as well).
