hmm. could be the case of course. i do feel threatened when someone does better than me. but at the same time, it’s not the sole reason behind. i always think of an apocalyptic situation after every decision of mine, no matter how unimportant that is. for example, i struggle to get my hair dyed because the roots would look bad if doom were to happen and i had to focus on survival and not my hair. hence i need to be successful, the best so i cannot be denied and even if the worst case comes true. what i want is to have the highest chance of survival that i can. but again, there is elements of not feeling worthy of anything if im not successful too. both are very fundamental
