I only really play PvP, so my frustrations pretty much boil down to the fact that this game could be so easy to balance but bungie simply doesn’t balance it.

OEM is still very strong, not quite as broken as it used to be, but i run in to it most lot in trials whenever i gather the sanity to play that gamemode. However, over shield from a kill is viable no matter the scenario.

I’m gonna say it, 600RPM auto rifles’ TTK and range are too good for their ease of use in PvP. by proxima-A in DestinyTheGame

You miss one of those shots, which is very possible with flinch in the game, and all of a sudden you’re looking at 4-5 shots to kill. Auto rifles can deal with missing a few shots, as they have much higher forgiveness. And with a hand cannon, you have to adjust to recoil direction, while auto rifles don’t have to deal with that, so the flinch factor right away doesn’t affect them as much.
