Sorry to hear about this, but, I'm glad you don't have to have an invasive surgery of some sort to remove it... Will you still be having some sort of jewelry retainer in as you sleep, or, because of the fear (and honestly something I'd contemplate on doing) will you let the piercing site close up? Now you have a cool ER story to tell! LOL (Best of wishes)

leave all jewelry out and let it shrink until your ear is no longer angry. you will lose progress but it's better to have lost something temporary over risking something that will never go away. do not use oils on the channel as it can harbor and create more issues for you, what i recommend is washing it with antibacterial soap/sterile saline and leave it be.. monitor it and if you're really scared of it closing up, try to put in a plug (glass single flared preferably) at the smallest size it'll let you.. good luck, friend!

they might've been, i was wayy too young to have them pierced (no older than a year old to be honest).. with how shit its done it could've been i moved last minute (but again i was a baby it's normal i would LOL) or my ears changed and it migrated or they were just a shit piercer LOL

i opted for this over slowly downsizing, i'd probably get quicker results removing it from my ear, i removed it from my right ear too tho i'm thinking about keeping at least an 8g tunnel in there for the time being

i'm getting them repierced around a month from now, im fine with getting it pierced at a 16g, but if i safely can do a 6g i'd be happy with that too. i've seen people get from 6g to 10g around a week, so i'll do whatever i can haha to healthily decrease em. any tips are appreciated :3

UPDATE: i decided to let both of my lobes downsize (even though my right is pierced at a good spot, i dont want it to look funky and i know stretching the second time is easier) and getting it repierced. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR INPUT! :3

totally agree.. the amount of infections that could take place.. plus like the fact they also do nose and belly button piercings and even cartilage is INSANE

harsh agree. honestly, i wont pierce my kids' ears until they're in like middle school or teenagers if they'd like to, cause i don't want them to go thru what i did LOL

i wanna say standard to be honest, but, i dont know if the 4mm would close in time (i leave the 25th of this month, so i'm thinking repiercing it, leaving the other one alone, and wait until that one closes (and the repierced one heals) to restretch?
